Tigers
Not drawing animals can be considered as a lack of respect for nature. Life subjects are the best thing a draftsman should be interested in.
I am delighted to inform you that I am starting this series of drawings about animals.
I began with this two tigers of Bengala, playing as if they were cats. In 1900 they were around 100000 tigers from Turkey up to Siberia. Today, last reports account not much than 5000.
The flexibility of their bodies, much greater than in humans, allow much more dynamic figures.
The meticulous study of proportions of the different parts of the anatomy build the foundations of what I call organic drawing. It's a long way, I know, but,
I have had to make several preparatory sketches, but I think the result was worth it.
I hope you like it, have a good weekend.
