My best friend recently got me this sketchbook as a gift, and I’m putting it to good use. I’ve got a bunch of references for my paintings now, and I’m also working on some new ideas for my next piece. I don’t usually use a sketchbook, as I tend to dive right into drawing on the canvas. But this time, I’m planning to take my time and not rush things and put my ideas first on a visual diary.
I was running low on ink, so I thought it was a good idea to get a new pen. Luckily, my mom and I were out getting some necessities, and we stopped by this Chinese-owned store that sells really cheap stuff. I came across a box of 12 ballpoint pens for just 68 pesos. They’re perfect for my pen and ink drawings since they dry fast and don’t leave ink stains all over my hands. They're affordable and good quality I love them! Next time, I should grab a red or blue pen too since I need to add some color to my drawings.
So, I finally got around to using the calligraphy pen I bought with Witty's help after letting it sit for a year! Luckily, it didn’t dry out, which is pretty typical with Japanese products.
I’m still playing around with it, and it’s turning out awesome! Just wanted to share that!
