I did all this using Ibispaint X, a Samsung Galaxy S8+ tablet and a digital pen.
I previously thought of drawing Brighton Bloom, but when scoping out the original card image I notices that "she" had a beard, which was weird, I later checked out his lore and found out that "she" was a "he"😬.
That's why I decided to draw Larissa instead 😅
How I did it..
Man! For me that was a really good head! Too bad it was soon destroyed when I added the hair..
In here, I sketched the body
Before finishing the outfit I sketched "conceptual eyes" meaning that they guide me in order for me to know where she's looking at..
Those round eyes were starting to creep me out and not letting me see how Larissa's full picture should look like, so I changed it..
Painting...
After adding a reasonable amout of pink glow, I started to do the background..
I made the trees have this thing called perspective, If you notice, which I don't think you don't, the trees have different colors! The nearer it is to the Gladiator champion the lighter, the deeper the darker.
Result..
I tried to make the background as contrasting as possible.
I believe I owe you an explanation behind the background, in her lore it says that she was trained by dragons, that why I drew some dragons in the background..
