Ear studies in watercolor and micron pens

I decided to spend some time this evening doing some ear studies because I don't really like to paint ears. I always try to get over it as quickly as possible and I wish there was a way to get rid of them because of all the folds. Of course, they're interesting to look at when executed well.

Anyways, I thought it'll help to detach this body part in other to give it some attention.

I started with two sketches done in micron pens

Then I proceeded to paint one in watercolor.

It's a burnt looking lineandwash ear painted on cellulose paper with burnt sienna, raw umber and ultramarine blue.
