Sour - Ink drawing, 21x16 cm, 2021
Day 11 of Inktober was one of those days when I felt everything click and form with ease. The theme of the day was -
sour. The first thing I thought about, was Sour Patch Kids, but since I have never really held them in my hands nor tried them and only have heard about them in the movies or videos, I decided against proceeding with that idea further. I went with lemons and limes instead, and I don’t regret my decision one bit.

So I sketched a bunch of lemons as the start. The different color ink batch had not arrived in time yet, so I had no yellow ink to work with, unfortunately. I thought about reaching for watercolors once more but changed my mind. The lemons might as well turn into limons! Lime color while a more lemon shape, yes, limons! Diamine fountain pen ink Sherwood Green once more saves the day! I used it only on one of the limons and inked the rest with the Diamine jet black drawing ink to make a more dramatic contrast. The only green limon pops out of the picture so well.
To top it all off I used the white Gelly Roll Sakura liner 08 on the green one to put some stars on there, and Pigma Micron fine liner 03 to create dotted and line patterns on the monochrome ones.

I love every single drop of this ink! It creates such beautiful tones and patterns when water is added to it! Recommend!

Moar details! ^^

How are you feeling this autumn so far? I can’t explain it, but maybe being this busy with creative things, I am less depressed than usual, and I enjoy the prettiness of leaves more. Even the darkness is alright.
