Hello friends of hive, I am very happy to finally be back, I hope to stay and achieve good things here.... Today I bring you a piece called "cactus of liberation".
A little context
For over a month I have suffered from a severe problem of creative block, every time I touched my graphic tablet, I went blank and wanted to cry, I felt a huge frustration, however, yesterday, curiously seeing the illustrations that I had published here, and on my twitter, I feel that a part of me that seemed to have been turned off, turned on... So I was finally able to encourage me to make this illustration.

Hola amigos de hive, me contenta mucho por fin haber vuelto, espero quedarme y lograr cosas buenas aqui... Hoy les traigo una pieza llamada "cactus de liberacion"
Un poco de contexto
Hace más de un mes he sufrido de un severo problema de bloqueo creativo, cada veaz que tocaba mi tableta grafica, me quedaba en blanco y queria llorar, sentia una enome frustracion, sin embargo, el dia de ayer, curiosamente viendo las ilustraciones que habia publicado aqui, y en mi twitter, siento que una parte de mi que parecia haberse apagado, se encendio... Con lo que por fin pude animarme a realizar esta ilustracion.

I will start by tracing the silhouette of the cactus with all its lights and shadows to better identify how I will be able to place them since I changed the colors of the cactus.
Empezare calcando la silueta del cactus con todo y sus luces y sombras para poder identificar mejor como las podré ubicar puesto que le cambie los colores al cactus.
A little color for the base
Now that I have identified all the essential aspects of what I want to draw, it's time to add color to make a good, solid base with a flat color.
Ya que he identificado todos los aspectos esenciales de lo que quiero dibujar, es hora de echarle color para hacer una buena base, bien solida con un color plano.
Now, MORE COLOR
Well, when I started to apply more color, I had no idea how to proceed, nor how to combine the colors or make them mix... However, during the month of May I know that I was instructed and learned a lot even though I wasn't illustrating digitally...
I used a textured brush to make the colors blend and also a fairly analogous color palette.
Bueno, cuando comencé a aplicar mas color, no tenia idea de como proceder, ni de como combinar los colores ni hacer que se mezclen... Sin embargo, durante el mes de mayo se que me instrui y aprendi bastante a pesar de no estar ilustrando digitalmente...
Usé un pincel con textura para poder lograr que los colores se mezclaran y tambien una paleta de color bastante analoga.
Let's create depth
When starting with the shadows, even if they were flat, I used a blending layer in "multiply" so that it would not disturb, and also to make the plant look more alive.
Al empezar con las sombras aunque fueran planas use una capa de fusión en "multiplicar" para que no perturbara, ademas se puede lograr que tenga mas vida la planta.
Details matter A LOT
It is with them that we will be able to connect with the illustration and know that we are really putting a real effort in what we do. It is the details that give true life in illustration.
Es con ellos que lograremos conectar con la ilustracion y saber que de verdad estamos poniendo un empeño verdadero en lo que hacemos. Son los detalles los que regalan la verdadera vida en la ilustracion.
AT THE END
In the end I forgot to capture a little bit of the process but I will tell you that I added shadow to the spikes, I finished detailing the background, I thought it was something nice, the shadow of the cactus is also modified with a blur and I put a layer of solid color with a blend mode in strong light, deleting the parts where I wanted to light up.... Al final olvide capturar un poquito del proceso pero les cuentos que a las puas le agregue sombra, termine de detallar el fondo, me parecio algo bonito, la sombra del cactus tambien esta modificada con un desenfoque y coloque una capa de color solido con un modo de fusion en luz fuerte, borrando las partes en las que queria que se iluminara....
