PRACTICING THE CROSSHATCHING DRAWING TECHNIQUE [ENG/ESP]

A couple of weeks ago it was my birthday 🥳 and as a gift I received from me, for me 😋 a small sketchbook that I sent to be bound myself and a very good quality mechanical pencil, the cover is aluminum so that it resists a lot 💪🏼; With these new tools I have decided to start a new investigation within the artistic field, I am going to experiment with a more aesthetic and delicate drawing style, I am talking about "Crosshatching" (latticed or ashurated, the truth is that this drawing style is known by several names around the world) I have never practiced this style of drawing before, but since I am currently entering the world of comics and graphic narrative, I feel that I need to adopt this style of drawing in lattice to make the panels of my drawings easier. future comics and graphic novels 😁.

Hace un par de semanas atras fue mí cumpleaños 🥳 y como regalo recibí de mí, para mí 😋 un pequeño sketchbook que yo mismo mandé a encuadernar y un portaminas de muy buena calidad la cubierta es de aluminio para que resista mucho 💪🏼; con esas nuevas herramientas he decidido comenzar una nueva investigación dentro del ámbito artístico, voy a experimentar un estilo de dibujo mas estético y delicado, hablo del "Crosshatching" (entramado o ashurados, la verdad es que ese estilo de dibujo es conocido por varios nombres al rededor del mundo) nunca he practicado antes ese estilo de dibujo, pero como actualmente me encuentro incursionando en el mundo de los comics y la narrativa gráfica, siento que necesito adoptar ese estilo de dibujo en entramados para realizar con mayor facilidad las viñetas de mis futuras historietas y novelas gráficas 😁.

A few days ago I was visiting the Los Caobos park in Caracas Venezuela and I was able to appreciate various pieces of sculpture that adorn the park; I have visited that place several times, but I had never stopped to contemplate these sculptures before 😅 I loved one in particular entitled "ICARO" a spectacular work of art, the dedication of the author to achieve realism in the sculpture is noticeable, but what What seemed most fascinating to me were the wings of the sculpture, since they are made with pieces of iron tubes, it really leaves a magnificent illusion with that material.

Hace unos días pasaba de visita por el parque los Caobos en caracas Venezuela y pude apreciar varía piezas de escultura que adornan el parque; yo he visitado ese lugar varias veces, pero nunca antes me había detenido a contemplar esas esculturas 😅 me encanto una en específico titulada "ÍCARO" una obra de arte espectacular, se nota la dedicación del autor para lograr el realismo en la escultura, pero lo que me pareció mas fascinante fueron las alas de la escultura, ya que estan realizadas con trozos de tubos de hierro, de verdad que deja una magnífica ilusión con ese material.

I liked that piece of art so much that I decided to start my research by drawing the sculpture of Icarus in the new sketchbook; This sketchbook is very practical, that's why I designed it in that size to be able to take it everywhere and practice drawing live and direct 😁 I usually draw from an image that I see from the cell phone or the computer, this practice will allow me to find myself own style of drawing 😌.

Me gusto tanto esa pieza de arte que decidí inagurar mí investigación dibujando la escultura de Ícaro en el nuevo sketchbook; este sketchbook es muy práctico, por eso lo diseñé en ese tamaño para poder llevarlo a todas partes y practicar haciendo dibujos en vivo y directo 😁 normalmente dibujo de una imagen que veo desde el cel o la computadora, esta práctica me va a permitir encontrar mí propio estilo de dibujo 😌.

Of course I didn't finish the drawing in the park 😅 I take a long time to draw, I get distracted all the time and apart from that place where I was sitting in the park drawing, I was turning my back on many people who were passing through the place and I don't like that 🙃 it makes me nervous 🤣; for that reason I'm going to finish the drawing here at home 😋.

Por supuesto que no culminé el dibujo en el parque 😅 yo me tardo mucho para dibujar, me distraigo a cada rato y aparte en ese lugar donde estaba sentado en el parque dibujando, le estaba dando la espalda a muchas personas que transitaban por el lugar y no me gusta eso 🙃 me pone nervioso 🤣; por esa razón voy a culminar el dibujo aquí en la casa 😋.

It is the first time that I have made a drawing with this technique, making the framework requires patience and a lot of concentration to make the separations between each line well and thus achieve the correct tonalities; I am very rustic when it comes to drawing and I press the pencil against the paper too hard, so drawing with a mechanical pencil will help me overcome that bad habit and make more delicate and precise strokes, later when I start inking I will have a stronger pulse firm 💪🏼.

Es la primera vez que realizo un dibujo con esta técnica, hacer el entramado conlleva tener paciencia y mucha concentración para realizar bien las separaciones entre cada linea y asi lograr las tonalidades correctas; yo soy muy rústico para dibujar y presiono demasiado fuerte el lapiz contra el papel, por eso dibujar con un portaminas me va a ayudar a superar ese mal hábito y realizar trazos mas delicados y precisos, luego cuando incursione en el entintado ya tendre un pulso más firme 💪🏼.

This was the final result✏️, I loved how the wings turned out 😋 even though it's not the best pattern in the world 😅 I know there are a lot of crooked lines done without finesse, but for my first job with this style, I think it's acceptable 😁 I congratulated myself 😋 for the progress that I am making thanks to the perseverance and commitment to my artistic career, I know that this new investigation that I have started will help me evolve as an artist; soon I will be posting the following drawings that I will make 😌. Este fue el resultado final✏️, las alas me encantaron como quedaron 😋 apesar de que no es el mejor entramado del mundo 😅 se que hay muchísimas lineas torcidas hechas sin delicadeza, pero para ser mí primer trabajo con este estilo, considero que esta aceptable 😁 me felicitó a mí mismo 😋 por el avance que estoy teniendo gracias a la constancia y compromiso con mi carrera artística, se que esta nueva investigación que he iniciado me ayudara a evolucionar como artista; pronto estaré publicando los siguientes dibujos que realizaré 😌.
