Good evening friends and my favorite subscribers. I finally decided to do ebru again. You've probably heard about this painting on the water more than once.
It is known that the first "work of genius" dates back to 1554. However, it is possible that they started doing ebru much earlier, just nothing has been preserved since those distant times :-)
This drawing technique belongs to one of the amazing types of creativity. Paints in ebru are applied directly to the water surface. Such drawing will be interesting not only for children of all ages (even 2-year-olds will create with you), but also adults will not sit still, they will also want to try themselves in this kind of art of painting :-)
You can draw with a variety of acrylic paints, but not all, but only those in which the bile of certain animals is added, most often bulls, and of course not without admixture and other mineral substances.
The image applied to the water surface is preserved by transferring it to paper or fabric. And professional "ebristologists" are able to transfer the drawing even to a ceramic surface, leather or wood. I tried to transfer the drawing even to felt and felt, but it turns out that the photo has not been preserved.
In general, the liquid for drawing ebru should have a dense viscous structure so that the ebru paints do not dissolve and do not sink. To do this, hevea extract is diluted with water, which allows drops of paint to float on the surface. The whole manipulation is based on the difference of liquid densities.
If you incorrectly dilute the water, then you will not get a drawing that is practically worthwhile.
One solution of liquid is enough for 6-7 drawings. However, if you want to do more, they are unlikely to be clear. So you should not save money here. Although bags for special liquid are not sold everywhere. I also heard that the masters of ebru are trying to draw on milk of a certain fat content, but I haven't tried to draw like that myself yet :-)
There are many versions of where the art of drawing on water came from. So different sources call the birthplace of technology not only China and Japan, but also Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, Persia and a number of other countries.
For example, in Turkey, the technique of drawing on water appeared in the 7th century, although the name ebru began to be used only after 3 centuries.
The main difference of the Turkish masters was the skillful ability to draw not only abstract and floral patterns, but also birds, fish and unusual landscapes. I can't brag about this yet :-) I have only one abstraction coming out...
This process is very calming and relaxing, I advise you to try it yourself. In addition, the colors of the paints can be made according to your choice.
You want pure monochrome or 2-3 shades or tones, but you want to use at least all the colors of the rainbow. And then your drawing will look much brighter.
Here everything will depend on your imagination and preferences.
You can draw with sharp wooden sticks, a fork, combs and even matches. And you need to spray the paint with fleecy brushes.
The creative process itself is very interesting, and it always turns out differently. It is impossible to repeat the same pattern, even if you really want to :-)
So create and relax, friends. I'm sure many people will definitely like it.
Watch also a video from the Internet, you should like it...

Thank you for supporting me in my work! Your advice helps me a lot!
I published many of my works in this portfolio on the website "Deviant Art", and in General, during the year of painting, I drew more than 160 paintings, of course some of them are just drawings, so to speak, a sample of the brush :-)
But there are also good paintings that have received approval even from professional masters of painting!
I appreciate Your feedback and comments.
I wish you luck and have a nice day!
Best wishes!
