BACK TO BASICS
Hello Sketchbook FAM!
It's been a little while since putting a post together for the hive community. But my bro @solymi reminded me again and told me why not write something again 😄 I always kinda liked the infrastructure that Hive has created. Just never really got into it properly. Maybe it's time to do so...
CREATING STUFF
But even I've been pretty laid back during the bearmarket, one thing that never stopped for me, was creating art and developing my skills. Got loads of drawings I did over the last months that might be worth sharing.
THE BAT
Since I am a big Comic Book Fan and admirer of the Marvel and DC comic book art, I decided to draw some of my favourite Superhero/Supervillain Characters.
And who else you wanna start with? If not with the Batman 🐦 Arguably the most iconic comic book character of all time?
I felt that I had to go back to the roots of creating art, and dive a little bit into making more traditional art on actual paper, instead of only drawing everything on a digital screen.
This drawing started out with a rough pencil sketch to get the shape of the head I wanted to portray, onto the paper. After that was done, it was all black ink on top to get all the details in.
Hope you like the result. My idea was to create 100 drawings of different characters, mainly to improve my head and face drawing skills... lets see where we go from here 😄
