Hello Hive, I know my first article on the platform should be an Introduction, but it's still in the works and I wanted to make my presence known.
Nature or the natural state of being is where my hearts at, so inspires me often. Everything I do is an attempt to strengthen my bond with her and divest from "civilization". I find that labelling our current society "civilized" is an oxymoron. With the accepted definition, anyway.

When you are feeling down, all you need is a nice quiet spot to close your eye's and just be, maybe with a little weed. 😀
The Tree of Knowledge-A Haiku
And A Little About My Process
And A Little About My Process
When you feel wonder
Sit by a tree to ponder
So the mind wanders
This is not only my first Haiku published ever, but also my first attempt.
As I was going through my image gallery to see what other content I had available to use, either on its own or relating to other topics that have been rolling around in my head this Haiku was inspired.

I really wanted to follow the quite strict guidelines that define what a Haiku is. It was more difficult than I thought and I spent a couple hours trying to perfect it. This included changing the wording in every possible combination to ensure it flowed, contained the correct amount of syllables and sent a clear message. I even consulted a thesaurus, which was of no help.
The editing for the image was not quite so straight forward either. I used many different colors and mixes of colors for both the text and the framing for aesthetic appeal. This is more difficult when there are only two prominent colors in the image itself. In the end, I easily spent 4-5 hours to create this publication.

The cover photo shows the earliest version and the quoted text the wording I settled on. Which one do 'you' prefer?
The number one lesson I took away from my college level courses was that no piece of writing is ever perfect. For this reason it's important to re-read your work multiple times over, because you'll always find a better word or phrase to use.
I do this often and all my article's have been edited more than once after they were published. You could probably revisit one of my article's right now and find that I've corrected an issue you noticed or reworded a sentence or paragraph since your initial visit. You can never edit enough, because nothing we do will ever be perfect.
To help you on your journey please feel free to visit my other accounts @solcycler and @notconvinced. Each have their own specific topics. I've done this to make it easier for you to find specific information I provide with cleaner feeds.

Every new experience adds to the respect, wonder and awe I feel when bonding with this living entity we call 🌎.
Please make sure to take the time to get outside and bond with your environment. Your health will thank you at every level of your being and please share your experiences with the world. Personal communal knowledge is beneficial to us all, because this interaction is essential to our evolution.
Thank you and I hope your day unfolds on your terms.
