Good evening everyone, I deem it a great privilege to come your way again with this write-up. You are again welcome to my blog, now to the first timers, I say you are welcome and I hope your visit to my post will be worthy.
Today I pour my observation as way to motivate and call attention on some little mistakes newbies like me are making on Hive, that is affecting their transition on Hive ecosystem.
The truth of the matter is, we all want to reach a greater heights in whatever we doing and the same thing applies on hive. We want to be whale someday but what is slowing us down?
These are my observation so far and is subject for review in case one want to object🤗.
They are quite few and include the following.
Misplaced Talent: Of course we are all gifted in one way or the other. There was one particular thing that drove us to become or sign up on Hive. Maybe it was that picture we are taking so much, that football game we like, that music, that video, that reporting of news stuff, that singing, that writing skills, but we seems to forget all these once we joined, because we think, maybe that community is not earning us so much votes and we tend to write in communities that are seeking more attention. The fact that someone is getting more attention in particular community doesn’t suggest you will get same attention. Maybe that is where the person has mastered very well but we tend to focus much more the person instead of what we can do to better ourselves.
I myself is not an exemption from this point but trust me, is better I focused on what I can do best and do it well. Most people have the believe that the more you post, the greater your chances of surviving on the blockchain, it could be true but is now always the case. Most people think Votes earning is a miracle. Well most might not understand this point clearly, but let me put this across, how do you expect to get votes when you don’t attend to others post. Most newbies don’t spend enough time to read on others post but they expect the big whales or Hivers to visit their post and votes them. I was told hive is for hardworking people, you can’t be a lazy Hiver, if you don’t like reading, there is no way you enjoy staying on hive, not only reading but making others feel their post are worthy but leaving quality comments.
Another point I would like to talk about is copying peoples style.
Well is not a bad idea to have someone you are learning from, of course we all need a mentor in this life, but trying to be like that person is totally wrong. You can be like someone, but there must be that special that distinguish you both and must be seen in everything that you do. To me on hive, these guys I’ve been to great help and I always look up to them (@mcsamm and @collinz). I can only learn from them but not copying what they do. This in line support the very first point. We must be unique in our own way.
In conclusion.
I always says hive is a place for all, meaning we can do whatever we want in our own way by believing in ourselves. For the start things will be difficult but if we are to stay consistent in what are doing, we will surely be better.
My little observation on Hive so far. Thank you 🙏
