Four Years Have Gone By In A Blink ..
Seems like I have been around longer than that, and then somedays not so long at all. What is the most impressive, meaningful, valuable thing that I have accomplished in those 4 years here? I'll tell you.. I found a part of myself I never knew existed. Through writing, I've managed to open up a new side of me and share that with the world. The world may not care, but the other half of me looking for an outlet for my ideas and emotions, does care.
Time Is All We Seem To Have ..
We all have time, but it's what we do with it that makes all of the difference. I chose to pour a little bit of myself out in blog form, to express what I feel on a daily basis. It could be called therapy, I suppose. I write it down and it makes it real. I re-read my posts and then they sometimes resonate with a different side of me. I often tell myself, "Self, You needed to feel that, so I am glad you got that out." I realize that life is not all roses, but often how we deal with it, is left to how we decide to interpret it.
What Do I Get Out Of Hive ..
The Hive blockchain has given me a way to interpret my thoughts.. And creatively let them go. I occasionally read some back and forth dialogue about how most people are here for the payouts, and that may be true. I also feel like there are several individuals that make that part of it secondary to the enjoyment received from interacting and development of connections.. or budding new friendships.. New human to human relationships, formed when we all begin discovering we share common threads. Common threads are after all, are what make up the fabric of life. We are not so different you and I.
So, today.. On my 4th Hive Blockchain Birthday ..
I want everyone to know size matters not. There is a "Force" out there. It's even visible here in the HIVE Community. It is powerful.. We create it.. and it grows through us, as we interact and take care of one another. It does surround us and it does bind us...
We Are Not Just Crude Matter .. We Are Hive!
It's Been An Awesome 4 Years, Thanks For Having Me Here!
I Decided to include photos of Pepper and Molly. They have been a big part of my journey here, and I love them more than life itself. They have taught me so much and given me so much to write about here on Hive. Thank you for getting to know us and letting us into your lives. Many of you who follow me know we lost Pepper last year.. Damn I miss that little guy. Still hurts. He is still giving me material, feelings to write from. Rest In Peace Pepper. Rest in peace.
“How many slams in an old screen door? Depends how loud you shut it. How many slices in a bread? Depends how thin you cut it. How much good inside a day? Depends how good you live 'em. How much love inside a friend? Depends how much you give 'em.”
