This is the second episode of my series post about the main characters of the epic Mahabharata. In the last episode, I started writing about the majesty of Bhishma. I will discuss more him in this episode. Just then Surya Dev appeared to Bhishma to save the creation. Surya Dev gave Bhishma a way to protect his family. What is that way? What he will discuss that way? As the characters will rise, the main events and flow of the Mahabharata will come up.
Surya Dev tells Bhishma that through Mahmuni Bedavasya, two wives of Bichitravirya will be able to have children. This is according to religion and is valid according to the scriptures. So Satyavati ordered Bhishma to act according to the word of Surya Deva. Bhishma also made arrangements like that. The news was sent to Mahamuni Bedavas. Bedavas came to Hastinapur at the right time to do good for kuruvansa.
The first wife Ambika closes her eyes in fear at the time of Bedavas's grace. The second wife Ambalika also becomes black and thin due to fear in this process. The two wives suddenly forget this and their two children come to this world with birth defects. With the arrival of two sons, Festivals and lights began to shine all over Hastinapur. The great anxiety of Rajmata Satyavati and His Majesty Bhishma was removed. But in the midst of so much joy, bad news hurt Rajmata and Bhishma very much. The elder son named Dhritarashtra was blind of and younger was some weak in body strength. What will be the future? How will he become a blind king? How will he save Hastinapur and his subjects? Because a blind man lives his whole life as a burden to others.
But His Majesty Bhishma came forward with absolute compassion and father's affection. He took the blind child in his arms with absolute affection. And Bhishma promised that he would build Dhritarashtra as a world-famous hero like himself. Dhritarashtra will be a world-famous hero. The rajma sees the light of hope. Her worries go away. Because Bhishma, who accepts him as his disciple, can never be weak. Late king Bichitrabirja had a close maid-servant who also gave birth to a boy named Bidhur.
It took many years. Three Raj Kumars have completed their education and now all three are young. Now it is time to install big Kumar Dhritarashtra as the king on the throne of Hastinapur. Such an arrangement started all over Hastinapur. One by one, all the arrangements were completed. All the gurus, sages, and guests were present.
Then the great time comes. Today is the coronation of Dhritarashtra. All religious rules have to be followed. Now Dhritarashtra sits on the throne. But at the time of wearing the king's cap on Dhritarashtra, Bidhur protests it. He says that the blind man cannot see the eyes and face of the people, how can he understand the happiness and sorrow of the people. The king who does not understand the happiness and sorrow of the people is not worthy of being King. A new crisis comes up. Dhritarashtra is the first candidate to become the king as he is the elder son of the family. The process of being king of Dhritarashtra has been postponed.
What will Bhishma do now? Dhritarashtra, how much he got hurt in this action?
