Jeez I'm glad the nature of my keyworker role doesn't require masks. These disposable ones are like the sensory nightmare from hell 😓 Everyone has to wear one going into the out-of-hours OPD area to be seen at the hospital. Was desperate to take it off after a few mins. I have even more appreciation now for those of you who have no choice but to wear these to safely do your jobs 👏
Was seen by a lovely nurse who recognised me from over 5 years ago, even with the mask, as she used to work at my former GP practice 😊 Wish I had her memory capabilities! In a bit of pain still but now have the required treatment so fingers crossed it works. Added bonus -one of the few perks of being up at the RIE is the staff canteen which has possibly the cheapest breakfast in Edinburgh - £2.90 for 6 items & a brew! Not bad going!
