This world is such bullshit. The covid death rate is falling like a rock and the case numbers sky rocketing yet all you assholes think you are "doing right" by masking yourself like a caged rabid dog. The ignorance the world is showing right now is disgusting. I honestly just can't deal with this level of ignorance being perpetuated everywhere. The best thing that could happen is MORE people get this bullshit sick and show that herd immunity is the only real answer. Too many of the people in this world fully disgust me. If you are that at risk of getting ANY sickness then stay the fuck home and let the rest of the world go on. It is inhumane to force the rest of the world to cower in fear that a few people might die, WHO WILL DIE ANYWAY! The sudden sanctity of life is completely disingenuous and a blatant lie by most everyone espousing it. Death is the ONLY guarantee in life, now go out and live yours!!!!!!!
Anyway off the soap box.
Yesterday I got my new running boards for my truck. Nicely amerzern was wrong on the shipping estimate and instead of next week they arrived yesterday. It helps the seller shipped and not amerzern. Fedex dropped them off nice and early so I got a chance to get them installed before the rains hit.
They are 4" oval bent end running boards and were only $170. They are also easy to install which is a definite bonus.
I only had to remove 6 bolts per side and install the 3 brackets to finger tight.
I had to leave the brackets a bit loose to allow wiggle room for installing the running board. Each bracket holds the running board with 2 bolts for a total of 12 bolts per side.
It took me only a half an hour to get the first side installed and that included time dealing with the boys. I really like how easy they are to install and they are a big necessity now. R is only 3 1/2 and was having some serious troubles climbing into the truck without the running board. Now it is much easier and I don't have to lift him in.
The passenger side went on faster and I was done with the install in about an hour. The truck looks "right" now. My prior Tacoma had running boards on it and I didn't think about this one not having them until we got it home.
Then, after lunch it started to rain.
Then it poured. And poured. Cleared for a bit, then poured.
2:00 pm I had a meeting for the co-op for training on the new software for listing my produce. It is super cool and way more powerful than Local orbit was. I am planning on only doing one delivery a week on Fridays and am going to be trying to make sure I can provide larger quantities of summer squash and beans each week for the USDA food boxes.
In a dash between thunderstorms I hit the garden to grab a bunch of greens for dinner. Beets greens and Swiss Chard made for a delicious sauteed dish. Most likely both rows will be for us and not for sale this year.
As I finished picking the storms started pounding again. This is one of the first in the 13 years we have been in Washington that is has really felt like the west side and all the damn rain.
By this morning we had 0.44 inches of rain which puts us at 16.37 inches for the year.
Today is looking like MORE rain off and on. Not sure yet what I can get done or want to attempt to do today. I have too many projects and not enough ambition at the moment to start on any. Hopefully I can be productive today.
