By mid-September last year all of us at home were infected with Covid-19, there were moments of great tension at home, although not all of us were affected in the same way, because only my father and I were the most affected, I had to take steroids to control the inflammation of my lungs due to the strong dry cough that accompanied me for a couple of months, my father lost much muscle mass that thanks to God, vitamins and a good diet has already recovered. For 2 weeks I lived in panic, afraid of dying in my sleep because my breathing was not adequate, I got tired just walking from the bed to the bathroom which was literally the only thing I could do.
We did not attend any hospital center, as that would entail isolation and in that case with whom would they leave my son, who barely got symptoms of a common flu, thank God. We treated ourselves at home with the guidance of a couple of doctor friends and my dear @marijo-rm, to whom I will be eternally grateful for her care from a distance. In total there were 2 months of isolation that my family and I underwent, my brother who was the first to get better completely (or at least we thought so) was the one who was in charge of going out to buy medicine and food for us. For at least 3 weeks I could not even write here, because my mind did not give me any ideas to write. We just wondered how we could get infected? Well, we have always taken care of ourselves, even excessively - The answer - My cousin! He asked my brother to give him a ride to work and my brother thought it was no problem, it was only 10 minutes he would be in his car.
My brother was the first to present symptoms, he only got symptoms of a common flu, then my father and I started, followed by my mother and sister-in-law, and finally My Mathias, all with different symptoms and difficulties. The consequences are still being felt in my family, my brother although he was the first to get better, after a month he was on the verge of respiratory arrest, when riding his bicycle as he has done for years, he simply collapsed, he knew how to handle the situation and returned home as best he could, Thank God he was only a couple of blocks away from home, when he went to the doctor he was told that it had been a product of Covid-19, as it had affected his lungs and required therapy for full recovery, thank God and to date he has returned to resume his practices with the bike.
My mother, my sister-in-law and I after a month of having overcome the virus, to date we still suffer from dysosmia that has led us to change even eating habits, and fatigue still accompanies us, because sometimes we get exhausted very easily, however, daily we are grateful for the fact that we have been able to overcome it, I am grateful daily that I could count on what #Hive generates and gender me in those gray days, I thank the people who supported me in those days and still continue to be a support. Because I know that not everyone has the same luck, last year it took away a cousin of my father, it took away the nephew and the mother of one of my best friends, and so far this year it has taken away a couple of uncles from that same friend, the mother of another good friend and recently another cousin of my mother, and that's not counting the acquaintances who have not been able to get out of this terrible virus.
Recently talking with a pharmacist, he told me that one of the big mistakes we make with this virus is to prevent from the point of view of not wanting to catch it, when the reality is that it is spread all over the world as a common flu, only more aggressive and deadly, when what we should do is to prevent being prepared to catch it at some point, for a moment I said, This guy is crazy! After analyzing his point of view, I realized that he is right, unfortunately it is so, there is a very high probability of contracting this virus even when we take care of ourselves from it, so we must work on raising the defenses of our immune system which is the one that does all the dirty work when this prickly virus arrives to our organism.
Today it is @jauregui98 who requires our support, and although I do not know him more than a few times I've seen him on discord, or for his publications, one of the things he has done #hive, is to turn this huge community into a big family, where I have seen that together we can achieve many things, and that this time will not be the exception, and is that in addition to join to help financially to our brother hive, we must join in prayer, for him, for his family and for each of those who today are struggling with this terrible virus.
We must finish understanding that we must take extreme measures, that we must normalize (temporarily) the fact of not making or receiving unnecessary visits, avoid parties, meetings and crowded places, the care of each of us, represents that we can keep our families safe, we can be very well or at least think so, but we do not know the health condition of the person who is next to us, that slogan that became famous last year, still remains in force, Stay Safe, Stay Home. I invite you to join this noble cause and support our hive brother @jauregui98, join this initiative of @theycallmedan, one of the best initiatives he has done, to tell the truth.

Para mediados de septiembre del año pasado todos en casa nos contagiamos de Covid-19, fueron momentos de mucha tensión en casa, pues aunque no a todos nos afectó de la misma manera, pues solo mi padre y yo fuimos los más afectados, a mí me tuvieron que suministrar esteroides para controlar la inflamación de mis pulmones producto de la fuerte tos seca que por un par de meses me acompaño, mi padre perdió mucha masa muscular que gracias a Dios, vitaminas y una buena alimentación ya ha recuperado. Durante 2 semanas vivía en pánico, con miedo a morir dormida pues mi respiración no era la adecuada, me cansaba de tan solo caminar de la cama al baño que era literalmente lo único que podía hacer.
No asistimos a ningún centro hospitalario, pues eso acarreaba aislamiento y en ese caso con quien dejarían a mi hijo, a quien apenas le dieron síntomas de una gripe común, gracias a Dios. Nos tratamos en casa con la guía de un par de médicos amigos y de mi querida @marijo-rm, a quien le estaré eternamente agradecida por su atención a distancia. En total fueron 2 meses de aislamiento al que nos sometimos mi familia y yo, mi hermano quien fuera el primero en mejorar del todo (o al menos eso creíamos) era quien se encargaba de salir a comprar las medicinas y comida para nosotros. Por al menos 3 semanas no podía tan siquiera escribir por aquí, pues mi mente no me daba ideas para escribir. Solo nos preguntábamos ¿Como nos pudimos contagiar? Pues siempre nos hemos cuidado incluso en exceso - La respuesta- ¡Mi primo! Le pidió a mi hermano que le diera un aventón hasta su trabajo y mi hermano pensó que no había problema con ello, total eran apenas 10 minutos que estaría en su carro.
Mi hermano fue el primero en presentar síntomas, a él solo le dieron síntomas de una gripe común, luego comenzamos mi padre y yo, seguidos mi madre y mi cuñada, y por último Mi Mathias, todos con síntomas y dificultades diferentes. Las consecuencias aún se sienten en mi familia, mi hermano aunque fue el primero en mejorar, al cabo de un mes estuvo al borde de un paro respiratorio, cuando al montar en bicicleta como lo ha hecho durante años, simplemente se desplomo, él supo manejar la situación y regreso a casa como pudo, gracias a Dios estaba a solo un par de cuadras de la casa, al acudir al médico le indico que eso había sido producto del Covid-19, pues había afectado sus pulmones y requería terapia para su recuperación por completo, gracias a Dios ya a la fecha ha vuelto a retomar sus prácticas con la bicicleta.
Mi madre, mi cuñada y yo luego de un mes de haber superado el virus, hasta la fecha aún padecemos de una disosmia que nos ha llevado a cambiar incluso los hábitos alimenticios, y el cansancio aun nos acompaña, pues en ocasiones nos agotamos muy fácilmente, sin embargo, a diario agradecemos el hecho de que lo hayamos podido superar, agradezco a diario que pude contar con lo que #Hive me genera y me género en esos días grises, agradezco a las personas que me apoyaron en esos días y que aun continúan siendo un apoyo. Porque sé que no todos cuentan con la misma suerte, el año pasado nos arrebató a un primo de mi padre, nos arrebató al sobrino y a la madre de uno de mis mejores amigos, y en lo que va de año le ha arrebatado a un par de tíos a ese mismo amigo, la madre de otro buen amigo y recientemente a otro primo de mi madre, y eso sin contar los conocidos que no han podido salir de este terrible virus.
Recientemente conversando con un farmaceuta, me ha dicho que uno de los grandes errores que cometemos con este virus es prevenir desde el punto de vista de no querer contraerlo, cuando la realidad es que esta expandido por todo el mundo como una gripe común, solo que más agresiva y mortal, cuando lo que debemos hacer es prevenir estando preparados para contraerlo en algún momento, por un momento dije, ¡Este tipo está loco! Luego de analizar su punto de vista, me di cuenta de que tiene razón, lamentablemente es así, existe una probabilidad muy alta de contraer este virus aun cuando nos cuidamos de él, así que debemos trabajar en subir las defensas de nuestro sistema inmunológico que es el que hace todo el trabajo sucio cuando este pinché virus llega a nuestro organismo.
Hoy es @jauregui98 quien requiere de nuestro apoyo, y es que aunque no lo conozco más que por algunas veces que lo he visto en discord, o por sus publicaciones, una de las cosas que ha hecho #hive, es convertir esta inmensa comunidad, en una gran familia, en donde he visto que unidos podemos lograr muchas cosas, y que en esta ocasión no será la excepción, y es que además de unirnos para ayudar económicamente a nuestro hermano de colmena, debemos unirnos en oración, por él, por su familia y por cada uno de los que hoy en día están luchando con este terrible virus.
Hay que terminar de entender que debemos extremar medidas, que debemos normalizar (temporalmente) el hecho de no hacer ni recibir visitar innecesarias, evitar fiestas, reuniones y sitios concurridos, el cuidado de cada uno de nosotros, representa que podemos mantener a salvo a nuestras familias, podemos estar muy bien o al menos pensar eso, pero no sabemos la condición de salud de la persona que está a nuestro lado, aquel eslogan que se hizo famoso el año pasado, aun continua vigente, Mantente a Salvo, Quédate en Casa. Te invito a unirte a esta noble causa y apoyar a nuestro hermano de colmena @jauregui98, únete a esta iniciativa de @theycallmedan, una de las mejores iniciativas que ha hecho, a decir verdad.
