I just saw the first edition of @penguinpablo's stats for Hive and remarked the highly unbalanced power up - power down situation towards the power down.
It's true, this stat is influenced greatly by the power down of Binance (mainly), which received a matching HP for their SP holdings (well, their customers' holdings), because they expressed the intention to distribute the airdropped HIVE (and HP and HBD) to their customers. And they will continue to power down their HP on Hive, which is what we want really.
But at the same time, if you had started power downs prior to the chain split and haven't stopped them after that, you are still powering down, ON BOTH CHAINS. Both on Steem and on Hive.
So, if you want to stop a powerdown on Hive which you started on Steem, you should do it manually on Hive, it didn't stop by default when the chain split.
I'm not saying that you should, it's up to you. Personally, I did and powered up the remaining liquid HIVE.
