This is my entry to the contest Hive Business Card Design that is organized by the @ocd community. I have been using the pro canva license App for quite time, so thought to leverage the App to design HIVE Business Card. Lets first start with the::
IDEA & CONCEPT
I wanted to keep the HIVE Business card as simple as possible and hence didn't insert too much of content on the card. The main time that I spent on creating this card was on the background color selection along with the tag lines.
Background Color Selection #EFE4E4
Finally, landed up selecting the background that gives a touch and contrast to our HIVE logo color. At least to me this background color #EFE4E4; suited and gave a nice look and feel to the business card.
The next piece was on selecting the image and tag lines for the business card. After browsing a bit on the internet, I finalized the image which is on hive blog itself. The image her describes HIVE well in terms of connecting communities as one example. There were many options which I did consider but landed using - connecting communities.

That ways the image and the punch line was selected. And finally, I did spend time on thinking the best place to place the scan image. After considering several examples, I thought it to place just at the center of the content and the punch line on the front side. Whereas on the back side, I bifurcated the page into half where one half focused on the community and the HIVE logo. And the other side to have the scan image to redirect users to Join the HIVE community. Plain simple and easy HIVE Business card was the outcome of all the efforts put it.
