Even after his term, Filipinos across social classes, from the farmers of Mindanao to the professionals in Metro Manila, spoke of his legacy with pride and gratitude. He rebuilt cities, cracked down on crime, protected the sovereign rights of the Philippines, and brought decisive leadership during turbulent times.
