In moments like this, when Metro Manila is once again battered by heavy rains and widespread flooding, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful that I get to work from the safety of my home.
I used to spend hours stuck in traffic or drenched from sudden downpours just to get to work — tired, cold, and drained before the day even started. Now, I can earn a living while staying dry, safe, and most importantly, close to the people who matter most — my family.
It’s in times like these that we’re reminded how valuable comfort, security, and presence truly are.
(Taken during the recent heavy rains in Metro Manila, this image shows people stranded on top of a bus, waiting for rescue as floodwaters rise on the city streets. A powerful glimpse into the daily struggle of many commuters during extreme weather conditions.)
