Do you remember those days?
You probably remember them, even if you decided to forget them often, when the light in your eyes didn't have that dark patch, but needed, of course...
Because on the way to a new dawn, it is impossible not to take a walk along that obscure and mysterious path.
I would like to go back, press the rewind bottom, take a piece of cloth, clean the rusty strings of my guitar and the dust from the windows of my old room, see how the sun goes through and projects those shadows of the morning city.
I can go back in my mind to that room, admire the light pattern, even though it is so far away; wake up there, take off the bedsheets, sit down and look at the white wall, go barefoot into the living room, admire the warm light and pick up the coffee-stained cups from the night before.
The mysterious beauty so ingrained in those moments of the past is impossible for me to explain with words, and I find this moment so particular, because I manage to discover the little things that shape me and make me who I am.
Only the one who feels without limit, who truly loves, who fights when he must and suffers when he deserves, without measure, could understand the transcendence of those moments that seem insignificant, because at the end of our lives, surely, everything will be summarized to those seconds of looking at the smile of the loved one, feeling the pain of a loss, laughing out loud with a good friend, the loneliness of the sunset on top of a mountain, a cup of tea or just a simple name.
Surely we would be surprised to understand how little we need to really live, those moments that come back as sepia flashes in the middle of a dream from which we do not want to wake up, are just messages, trying to awaken us, make us remember, return, and revive those little things in the present moment and give them the importance they deserve.
