I woke up to find a light rain falling.
This is beautiful because we really need some rain, and even more importantly, to me, it might help my eyes! The pollen has been killing me and my eyes are so sore and itchy. I hoped the rain might help knock the pollen count down a little.
The ever-practical Cathy points out "Maybe if you took your face out of the flowers for five minutes your eyes wouldn't be driving you crazy?"
"Just a few more" I replied. I've got macro fever! (Along with hay fever...)
I've fallen in love with macro photography lately, but I realize she has a point. Fortunately there are more things than flowers to point my lens at...
For example, there is moss...
and snails...
The sun came out and we took a trip to the park where I spotted this lovely deer.
A squirrel stopped by to say hello.
The hummingbirds were enjoying the flowers.
After a while I started thinking about macro again... like this fiddlehead fern.
Plenty of the flowers were still soaked from the rainfall we had.
I even took some home to play with... This is from a chestnut tree.
By now my eyes were killing me again and I just had to get the two types of medicine that could help me. Number one: coffee!
...and number two: Visine eyedrops for allergy.
Oh the feeling! It's both beautiful and sublime! Thanks very much for viewing my post :-)
