Hello, dearly beloved Hivers. I am Odinaka Agunwenyi, a graduate of medical physiology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. I hail from Oji river local government area of Enugu state, Nigeria.
Me at a computer centre typing my final year research work
I am the first of six children of my parents; the first son. My birthday is in May 3. I currently reside in Enugu, but lived most of my life in Abaji where I was born. For those who may not know, Abaji is one of the six area councils in the capital city of Abuja, Nigeria.
Abaji gave me a blissful childhood experience. The environment and its people really helped shape my world views as an adult. I will share some of my experiences here someday, very soon.
Me after a lecture in school
I started and completed my primary education in Ideal Constance Knowledge Nursery and Primary School, Abaji, where I served as the timekeeper. I was responsible for announcing school breaks and closing hours for the entire pupils by ringing a metal bell handed to me, which then served as an alarm tool.
My first three years of secondary education was in Junior Science Secondary School, Abaji, from 2009 to 2012. I spent the last three years of my Secondary Education in Government Science Secondary School, Abaji, between 2012 and 2015.
Me after a project defense in school
I got admitted in to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2017. My graduation was due for 2021, but I ended up graduating this year, 2023. My delay in graduation was because of the COVID-19 pandemic and academic strike actions of the Nigerian academic union.
While in medical school, writing was something I really enjoyed doing and would love to fully explore whenever the opportunity presented itself. Before now, I had written short fictional stories, articles, research works, and so on.
I got to know about the platform hive.blog from a good writer friend, @onegod who has been in the business of writing for a while now.
Me and a friend after our final year project defense
Here, I look forward to connecting with new people who may share similar or different worldviews, create interesting engagements, interact with the big guys in the space, and make my little contributions of impacting lives and society through the write-ups I will post here.
Without much ado, and beyond being just a reader, we can start this promising journey by becoming friends just by liking this post and the subsequent ones that will follow. I sincerely anticipate your involvement in promoting impacting write-ups from my desk. Love you!
