Hello everyone, this is a sequel of my previous blog entitled Come Visit Cagayan de Oro City, the City of Golden Friendship. My intention of doing this kind of blog is to deviate our attention to the current pandemic that claimed thousands of lives in just a very short time, but we should know that over thinking about it would stress us out and may cause physical or emotional damage, I am referring to vulnerability to different kind of illness not just covid19 in general, so set back, relax and enjoy looking at those captivating photos below and start planning for your trip to Camiguin soon.
Of course we should not forget to follow the protocol as the new normal requires, social distancing, wearing of facial mask and washing our hands are just as important for us to get away from the deadly virus.
WELCOME TO CAMIGUIN ISLAND
Going back to my topic for today, I would like to take you to Camiguin Island the second-smallest province in the Philippines in both population and land area but one of the richest place in so far as nature stunning beaches is concerned, they also are also proud of their natural cultural treasures namely the Old Bonbon Church ruins, the Spanish-era watchtower and the most famous Sunken Cemetery.

Camiguin became famous also for its sweet lanzones, if you haven’t tried their lanzones you better buy one and taste it or else you will loss 1/4th of your life, LOL I’m just joking.

I really don’t want to go through the history of each place that I will be presenting here, I prefer to go directly to the beautiful places that one should not missed to visit when visiting the province.
SO LET’S GO CHECK CAMIGUIN’S TREASURES
MANTIGUE ISLAND
First in my list is the beautiful Mantigue Island, one of the best tourist spots in Camiguin, it is a small island with a total land area of only 4 hectares located about 3.5 kilometres off the coast of the island province of Camiguin.
This island is a protected marine sanctuary that boasts white sand beaches, and colorful coral reefs. I'm glad I had the chance to visit this wonderful island once and I would not hesitate to visit it again perhaps when there's no more covid19.
Mantigue island also has a beautiful fish sanctuary, and absolutely perfect for scuba diving. if you want to get relaxed and be at peace with nature Mantigue island is one best place to go.
Although Mantigue is a very small island but there are a lot of things that you can do there aside from snorkeling and swimming on a crystal blue water. Definitely I would recommend to include Mantigue island in your Camiguin itinerary.
WHITE ISLAND CAMIGUIN
This beautiful island is located about 1.4 kilometers from the shore of Mambajao. It is an uninhabited, meaning no houses, no towers and even trees, white sandbar which is generally a horseshoe shaped but will change depending on the tides.
The island is just about 10 minutes ride from the shore of Mambajao. If you will have the chance to visit this place you should not forget to bring umbrella, sunglasses, hats and perhaps sunblock. And one thing for sure, you will never regret being there and will surely treasure the moment for the rest of your life.
So, there you go with my second travel blog, I know there are still lot of stunning places that you could visit in Camiguin but I will reserve them for my next blog.
