This time last year I managed to get out of my previous miserable life. I turned 24 and was hoping that life finally gave me some breaks.
Well… life didn’t give me any breaks but I just got better at handling problems.
During my 24 years, I don’t have any fancy achievements but I am pretty proud to have spent it traveling through ancient temples in Java and hopefully, I could make it to Cambodia and nearby countries with connected temples this year. Not to mention, I watched my first motogp which was a childhood dream came true (pretty damn proud on this one). And hoped I could watch one again, next year.
Then, I also got into photography & having a camera, it’s something I’ve been dreaming about for so long. I did it. You can see some of my work through my peakd.com portfolio and also my unsplash account.
Like I said last year, I choose to focus on myself, seek adventure, and enjoy this ride called life. I did that. I focused on myself ; and as you can see from my travel stories, they are pretty adventurous. I also started swimming like I used to and got back to the gym. I learned early on that it’s best to be attuned to our health and well-being before hitting 25 even 30.
Last year, I was asking how to travel to Bali and just a few weeks ago, I did it. I was there for a month and learned so many valuable lessons. I will go back there very soon, as soon as the national holiday season is over.
Most importantly, I keep getting better at being myself. I no longer try to pretend something I am not nor try to fit in. That alone lifts up a huge burden that I used to have.
Turning 25, I don’t have any special wishes but just continuing to build the existing business I have (the bakery) and learning to say yes to some good opportunities out there. Getting back to programming and joining a school is on the horizon too. So, wish me luck.
Like the previous years, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting me throughout my hive journey. Always happy to meet new friends, make new connections on hive and even offline. It wasn’t easy getting here and I am pretty damn proud of who I’ve become.
