Once again, our friend @theycallmedan invites us to develop an initiative on topics that are of absolute and primary interest in the current life of the blockchain.

Freedom is an inherent condition of the human being.

We are born to be free and many of our ancestors have fought for this for centuries. Freedom is the condition that you have to be able to decide about yourself and your destiny, the things that you like, the direction that you want your life to take.

Among these things is the freedom to express yourself, to say what you want without any conditioning, as long as you don't harm others intentionally or not with your words. The right to express yourself freely in political and social matters, the future itself, is something essential in life.

Freedom of expression must be a non-negotiable condition from any point of view.

I am Venezuelan and this is a high point in my country, during the last twenty years, we have seen it violated, to such an extent that there is extreme censorship of those people who do not agree with the actions of the current government.

Even though it is true that a government is the first authority in charge of a country, it is also true that all its inhabitants have the right to give their opinion freely even if their opinion is contrary to the ideology of the person who is in charge.

The same is true in many areas of life (families, businesses, communities, universities, societies, etc.).

If you arrive at a place assuming the direction, you should always consult your environment, sound out the opinion of those around you, which is what those people can or cannot contribute to what you want to undertake as the new owner of a company, society or community.

You cannot pretend to arrive at a place and crush or take away those who make life there, without even asking their opinion and reconciling them. We experienced this recently in the blockchain.

I believe in full-scale decentralization, but not in that which is only professed in letters or words and does not materialize in deeds. We must listen to the collective and take what is useful and positive for the growth of the environment, as well as decant and set aside what is not.

Freedom of expression is a right that will always be worth defending, we must never give it up or shut up, whoever is leading that destiny, but with respect and positive contributions, that part is also important because, if there is no control or limit, that freedom becomes manipulation and many times, in debauchery and there, the situation becomes dark.

As a Venezuelan, I have lived through many crises about freedom and our rights as citizens, and that is why I defend freedom of expression.

I hope that in this new chain, where there are capable people with noble hearts who want the good and collective growth, the voices of creators will be heard, those who, independently of money, sustain and make this chain great: the creators of content, hopefully, they will be able to unify criteria, make them one voice of expression and row all towards the growth of this new opportunity for development that is HIVE.
