Have you ever been in that position where you are so close to winning then your opponent makes a sudden move that challenges your winning? get it right and win or wrong and loose a turn.
It happened today when I was playing scrabble with my friends, it was a tough contest especially when it come to that word you have been using through only to find out you were wrong damn. He spelt a funny sounding word that sounded correct at the same time it sounded wrong, no one was willing to contest because the game was tight and no one was willing to lose a turn at this point. well brave poor me told myself "life is all about taking risk" I shouted " I contest and I saw a wicked devilish grin on his face, I was asked to confirm my contest, I said yes with confidence, boom they checked the dictionary and he was right, I was wrong, poor me I lost a turn right there. After the game had gond round and it was my turn again I was able to hit a "bingo" and came close to first position again felt relieved..
That joy didn't last as I was on my way to committing a grand blunder, this time I was left with a few tiles and the game was rounding up, tensions were high, everyone desperate to make the last big score before we call it a game.. I had a few tiles and I was pondering on what to create that will utilize my biggest letters in one shot to push me to the top else if I'm not able to do so something even worst will happen. should the game end with me still having those big letters on me, I will be dammed because they will be counted against me. As I looked I saw a beautiful spot to strike 😊 I felt like I was invincible. It was a spot for a triple Word combo, I quickly and confidently jumped on it and spelt "BUZ" hmm they said they it wasn't correct, and someone contested I was smiling with hope he would get it wrong, then boom!! "Oga you are not correct o" the guy on the dictionary shouted after checking🙁 my face changed instantly, I was cold and I couldn't imagine skipping a turn at this point in the game, I was frustrated as the other guys were all laughing and catching vibes at my expense, trust me its a place you do not want to be...
At this point should I be advising you or I should or crying for myself?? let me hear your experience if you have ever been in this kind of sh**t
Today is just one of those days, it sometimes hit me differently when I understand that I know so little about just basic stuff, when I try to relate this incident to other areas of life I see so much flaws in humanity, and that is the beautiful thing of life. At the same time I was sad others where super excited which makes me wonder if what gives us joy isn't actually pain to others and if so how do we set the balance and is there even a need for a balance? Or life is what it is..
