Two months back, I started to make an attempt of planting Pothos and I saw it's has planted really well. So I thought to make a progress of the work.
For the last two months, I continuously refilled the pot planted Pothos with water. Plants grew so healthy in the water-gravel mix. Timely new leaves appeared and also many more roots.
Yesterday, I decided to repot this in a separate pot as I wanted to move the plant to a non-water media. Watered media needed daily attention, so I decided to repot.
Here you can see the roots are well spread over the gravel. To protect roots, I didn't want to completely remove gravel. I kept the upper gravel layer with roots and removed the rest of the gravel.
I used a plastic pot and as the soil mixture, I used nothing but coir powder (kohu bath). Coir powder gives enough space to grow roots and enough space to breathe. Also, keep water for some time. Hence, I used coir powder.
I placed the gravel layer with the roots on top of the coir layer. This will grow with time. Finally, I neat out the things using white stones. The plant looks full and healthy. The only weakness I see with this plant is the color of the leaves. This plant can give a better value if the color variant of the leave is clear enough. This leave is almost green, but there are varients with more yellow and more white. I was able to find more yellowish plant and let's see what I can make with it.
