In a psychological horror movie, I give you a review of The Invisible Man
The story of the movie
The movie begins with Cecilia, the heroine of the movie, as she tries to escape from her husband from their home. It appears that the house is full of cameras everywhere, so Cecilia decided to escape in the darkness and her husband is sleeping.
Cecilia took her own suitcase and jumped over the fence, but by mistake she touched the car and the alarm went off.
Cecilia quickly escaped to the street and her sister Emily was waiting outside, but her husband had caught up with them and broke the car windows, but they quickly escaped.
Cecilia seems to have quickly thrown a packet of diazepam, which her husband then took.
Cecilia fled to a friend of her sister James Maat, his daughter Sydney, but it seemed that fear had filled her to the limit, so she was not even out of the house. Emily tried to inquire a lot about what happened to her, but she did not answer her about the reason for that panic.
But one day Emily unexpectedly visited her, contrary to her sister’s request to inform her that her husband had committed suicide.
Cecilia reassured her a little and calmed down and thought that things were fine, but she was not. Cecilia was dreaming of nightmares, and at one time she woke up to find footprints in her room.
Cecilia was very terrified, and James woke up, but he found nothing.
Cecilia thought that all this was just nightmares and that she was just a psychological horror of what happened and she told them the reason for her escape from her husband and the reason for the constant fear that she was in and that he was controlling everything from her actions to the way she thought.
But it seems that the matter was not just nightmares or delusions. At the same time, during the shower, Cecilia found a box of diazepam, which had occurred on the day of the escape.
Cecilia scared that much and went to her brother-in-law, the lawyer, to tell him that her husband, the optician, had forged his death, but his brother revealed to her the surprise that he had seen his brother's body himself and that his ashes were in his box.
It seems that something big is awaiting Cecilia from the hidden dead husband.
An impression of the movie
The movie tells us a psychological horror story between a wife who does not know what to do and a silent husband who is in control.
The movie, although it is a science fiction and horror, but it depicted a much larger story for us, which is how psychological horror can control your life to the fullest extent.
It even makes you not live your life at all.
The film also gave us a sacrifice from James and how he is trying to contain the poor wife.
Daydreaming and psychological horror may prevent you from life.
Great performance from all the actors, especially Elizabeth Moss, who gave us a special performance that made us feel terrified and excited everyone.
Cinematography
Although the movie is a horror film of the first degree, it provided us with another kind of horror, which is silent horror
That makes you afraid of silence and not of loud sounds or terrifying scenes.
We have not noticed in this movie the use of optical tricks, horrific scenes and animated dolls, like the rest of the horror movies
Rather, the director only suffices to conceal the sound in order to make you terrify. In every moment when the sound was reduced, I would lower the sound of the movie, waiting
Terrible loud sound is coming.
Calm was the horror in the movie simply.
Therefore, photography was very important in highlighting horror in the movie. Sometimes, for example, we find that the camera is fixed in one place despite Cecilia's movement away.
The movie did not need fast shots or quickly changed between scenes. Rather, it was the calm feature of photography and the slow transition with the movie's heroine.
And finally
The film succeeded in providing us with a wonderful show of silent horror and science fiction with a new idea and a new cause as well
It discusses one of the issues of women spread in all countries of the world.
