Hello Hivers!
It's me again, @sir-abas. A few days ago I made my first post here on Hive
. The love and warm welcome I got was so massive. Thanks guys!
I have decided to make this second intro post just to further describe myself with more details - of course this is important. ππ So, here we go!
Here is my happy face. π
1. Who am I?
My name is Abas Brave. I am a creative Nigerian and can be traced down to the Ibibio Tribe of Akwa Ibom State (South south region of Nigeria). I am in my early 30s. I was science oriented and so loved electronic gadgets when I was much younger. Somehow while growing up, a lot changed about that flair. We will probably have this gist in full in one of my subsequent posts. So, I graduated from a Nigerian University with a Degree in Theatre Arts (Theatre Technology Major). I love stage art, lights and sound. I love meeting new friends, I love playing football, I love music, I love travelling and I love Hive! π
I am one of the many multi-talented people on the globe.
2. What I do?
Despite the fact that I later found myself in the Arts and Humanities, I still nutured my craving for everything electronic gadget and computers. My enthusiasm drove me into taking on ICT Skill-Up courses like Computer Maintainance and repairs / networking, Programming etc.
I learned Hardware programming of the Arduino Board.
Here are the few things I do professionally:
- I run an ICT Hub called Citi Trend
We train people on basic computing, graphics design, programming, video editing and more.
- Livestreaming Services
I work as a adhoc staff with a multimedia studio. We run live streaming service and total event media coverage.
Live streaming set up at an event in Abuja - Nigeria
Other things I like to do:
Travelling
I love travelling especially by land. This allows me have some good sight seeing by the road sides and take pictures as we journey along.
I took this picture during my journey through the Niger Bridge, Delta State - Nigeria.
Though I love travelling, I haven't really travelled for leisure purpose before. My travel history is built by work purposes - my job takes me places. I hope to find a holiday I can travel and visit other places just for meeting new fun people, try new types of food, learn a few new languages, rest and return when it's done. π
I write Gospel songs and run a band
Remember how I said I am naturally multi-talented? ππWriting songs and making music is another thing I so love doing. I'm so glad there is 3speak and DTude where I can vblog.
I play the keyboard too
A sit out with the band mates
I like taking pictures with my mobile phone
I love photography and I enjoy taking pictures of nature with my phone in the early hours of the day or most times in the evening time. I snap insects, plants and even the sky. I will post from my archive in due course. Thankful for a place like PeakD.
You might be wondering why I engage in so many things. Well, in my country Nigeria, you can't actually depend on once source of income. Young people over here will normally have their hands on a lot of money making ventures to make a livelihood.
3. Why join Hive?
My friend @uyobong introduced hive to me and I've found it to be an amazing place to belong. He has been here for a while himself. As a content creator, participating in this platform will be a great way to meet a lot of other creative people from other parts of the world, share my ideas and learn. Also, I am so excited that I have now joined a space where I can create and safe-keep my contents without the fear of plagiarism and get tipped with tokens for contributing to the communities. This is so amazing!
As a way of ending this long post, I want to once again appreciate @uyobong for onboarding me and @ekotmordemy for the training sessions.
Thank you @fionasfavourites of the @OCD curation team for notifying me on my first post on how an intro should look like. @lovesniper thank you for the follow up.
