In the past few weeks I have been onboarding people into hive, and I do receive questions on how to upload a profile picture on the Hive blockchain.
So, I will be explaining how to upload a profile picture through hive.blog and also through peakd.com
1. TO UPLOAD THROUGH HIVE.BLOG
To upload through hive.blog, you just need to follow the steps below:
- From your feed, click on your profile icon
- You will see the following options profile, wallet, notifications and others. Click on profile
- It will take you to your blog. From there, click on settings.
- There you will see profile picture url and cover picture, then click on upload image to get image url.
- After you are done, click on update. It will take some time for changes to occur, just chill it will show afterwards

HOW TO USE PEAKD.COM
To upload your profile or cover image via peakd, follow the following procedures
Enter https://peakd.com/ and click on the horizontal lines by the top right corner. There you will see the login as shown below. Click on login
I make use of hivesigner when logging into peakd, so I suggest you should do that also.
After clicking Hivesigner, you will see the login page as shown below. Login with your username and private active keys.
if you choose keep account on this device, it will take you down to keyword password which means you should put the password you can remember, that means your preferred password.
After you have done all that click or login or get started.
After all that is done, you are logged in successfully.
Next you will click on the image icon just beside the pencil at the top right corner to see the following options shown in the screenshot below.
Then you have to click on profile.
Next, you have to click on profile image, above the display name of your blog, to edit your profile settings
After all that is done, you can make changes to your info and also your profile image just by clicking on upload
When changes have been made, click continue to save changes
Click continue to confirm transaction
Then you will have to login again
After that, you click on approve.
Then that's all. If you noticed, I only made changes to my display name. So why not try it out now.
