A breakthrough in blockchain technology is growing day by day, chatting and sending Bitcoin is possible without the need for a centralized Internet provider or even the grid, all with open source software and hardware.
The guys at Locha Mesh have managed to create the software, the protocol and the hardware needed for a flexible, decentralized, mesh device network capable of transmitting messages, data, Bitcoin transactions and services completely off the grid without having to rely on an Internet connection or even the power grid, for countries affected by disasters and for individuals and groups concerned about privacy.
Locha Mesh has developed the Turpial and Harpy devices that allow you to connect to Bitcoin's blockchain using short and long range radio waves. Currently they have synchronized the Bitcoin blockchain and are in process with the Monero blockchain.
Off-Grid Communications
