My Life Before Psoriasis
It all started 2 years ago. When I used to work on steemit posting my travel stories, pictures, my artwork and, recipes. Before starting working on steemit I was working in a pharmaceutical company. After starting steemit everything went great and then I decided to leave my company. I started working on steemit for fulltime. Steemit was a great platform and it inspired me a lot. I was living a normal life. I can go wherever I want. I can eat whatever I want. I was trying to live my life to the fullest. I was so happy with my life because it was exactly the way I always wanted to be. I was carefree.
How This All Started
Everything was fine with me and I was living a normal life like others. One day I wake up and I had A little patch in my scalp. First I thought it's just dandruff because I had little flakes in my hair. As I said I'm carefree so I didn't take it seriously. I go for some anti-dandruff shampoos and its gone for like 1 month. After one month it came back with more patches and some big one on my scalp. These patches are like hey I'm back again you can't rid of me I'm your best friend now and we stuck together ;). And trust me guys this best friend was pretty annoying. Sometimes these patches were itch like it will never stop and when I itch it bleeds.
Doctors Were Fail To Catch The Symptoms
I decided to visit a dermatologist. The doctor examines the patch and said "I think It's Seborrheic dermatitis and nothing to worry about. He gave me some lotions and shampoos again. I used them for a few days I got mild relief but not completely. I visit again to the doctor and he said "don't worry just go with the medicine I prescribed earlier. It will take some time but definitely go away. I continue with those medicines around 3 months. Meantime I observed more red lesions in my hands, elbow and, my thighs too.
I visited around 10 doctors but nobody diagnosed what exactly is this. Every Doctor taking that casually and not telling me anything. I got so fed up. Then one day I met a senior doctor in an international conference of doctors that had around 35 years of experience. He saw my hands and suddenly said you had psoriasis. That time I got to know it's an autoimmune disease and don't have any cure. This means I have to spend the rest of my life with this.
How I'm Living With Psoriasis
It was very painful for me that it won't have any cure. But it's fine now and I'm used to managing to live with this now. Sometimes it's really other me when people see my lesions and make fun of my skin. Most people think it's contagious and they will also get it if they came in contact with me. The truth is that it's an autoimmune disease and it's not contagious at all you will not get it by touching or sharing food. These lesions itch badly and when I touch water wounded lesions hurt like hell. Sometimes I think life is so unfair with me but Its fine. I accepted myself like this now. Most important thing now I know how to deal with this and how to control my lesions quickly.
Well, I won't take a lot of time now and ending the post here. In my next part, I'll share its cause, Symptoms, and Diet. Diet plays an important role in psoriasis and I'll share about my diet and workout plan.
P.S. Psoriasis pictures are mine.
Lots of love
