Dear Self acclaimed 'Capable woman' of Proverbs 31, I hope you remember verse 3 warns me never to give my strength to women.
So why complain I don't go harder or stay longer when we are supposed to make love and not fight or compete? I won't give you my strength young lady.
You said I wanted a Rahab mixed with Jezebel and a touch of Mary, but who were you when we first met? You were everything a man could desire. You were a full bouquet, not even one channel was scrambled.
In the bed you were a Rahab. At home, a Mary. Outside you were a Jezebel with that queenly killer dress-sense that would make every man give you a second look.
After marriage, you threw your bum shots at the alter and became holier than Mary. More repentant that Rahab and tamed like Jezebel. You tie wrapper to church, wrapper at home, and wrapper to bed. Who wraps herself all the days of her life?
I guess only my wife does.
So before you rejoice over that part of Proverbs 31 that calls you 'capable woman', remember there was a verse before it that said 'your ways destroy kings'.
