From my knowledge of science, gravity has been a major impediment to an upward movement of an object and this is solely link to the object's weight. I took that shot of the weighing balance above while visiting a friend in the hospital some weeks ago.
Sometimes, we need to personally own the instrument or a similar to regularly check how much we've gain or lost. This knowledge is crucial to informing our decision of our food intake.
The study of Mechanics teaches that the heavier an object, the more difficult it is opposed when attempting an upward movement. It therefore requires more energy to shoot such to a desired height.
The shaking off of excess weight is a moment to trim off things that drain our energy in life, investment, business and all works of life. This simple applies to all aspects of life and is crucial for growth.
Even in nature, shake-offs are necessy. I remember a shot I took one of the days while sweeping the yard which is one of my daily chores. The pear tree shedded all it's leaves and made the sweeping more difficult. However, I found time to reflect on the happening and learnt some awesome business lessons.
Looking at the concept of shaking off excess weight in the context of business and investment, I see a call to deliberate periodic appraisal of the business growth and consideration of new business decisions which may involve some or all of the the following:
- Trimming of staff;
- Cutting down or increasing diversification routes;
While staff retrenchment may look inhumane but it becomes so useless to maintain a staff who fails to update himself with the changes in technology. Today, every corporate outfit seeks to soar towards sustainability, reducing impending costs and improving business turnovers.
Non-creative staffers of some forms have become a luxury in the new millennium and decade. This is because the Advent of Artificial Intelligence is making the workspace more susceptible to competition in creative output.
While 50 staffers were necessary in a bank sited in a growing city about 10 years ago,the situation has so greatly changed today as there is no need for such today when computer softwares can do a lot of the operations.
This therefore places a demand in every individual to also check his or her weight with a view to redirecting attention to the skills that are necessary in this new era of technology shift. Why are you bothered with getting an office keeping skills when portfolio management is a rather needed skill for today?
A regular weight check is necessary for anyone who wants to maintain a healthy body. Where this is lacking, then obesity, underweight or stunting may be the likely health outcomes. This should be a deliberate rather than a circumstancial activity.
