Unfortunately the city where I live with my family has no beaches or rivers nearby, therefore, an activity that is very common for some people, for my family and me is super special. Getting out of your day to day life, escaping from the routine, breathing the fresh air found at the beach helps you release the stress accumulated in the week and even months, this was what we were looking for and more because we already had more than two years without going for reasons of pandemic mainly. But as not everything is perfect a series of events happened that honestly made the trip, although it did not go as it did not go as we expected made it a lot of fun!💛
Un día antes comenzamos a planificar con otros familiares, lo principal (el transporte y la comida) donde justamente se daño el carro de mi papá y llegamos a la conclusión que no íbamos a ir. Mi hermanita menor fue a la que mas le afecto esta noticia, pero ya casi a las 8pm de ese mismo día mi papá y mi tío lograron alquilar una camioneta toyota coaster para mayor comodidad. El objetivo principal era ir a playa pescador ubicada en mochima estado Sucre por lo tanto teníamos que salir muy muy temprano.
The day before we started planning with other family members, the main thing (transportation and food) where my dad's car was damaged and we came to the conclusion that we were not going to go. My little sister was the one who was most affected by this news, but almost at 8pm that same day my dad and my uncle managed to rent a toyota coaster van for more comfort. The main objective was to go to Playa Pescador located in Mochima, Sucre state, so we had to leave very early in the morning.
Todo comenzó realmente bien ya estábamos organizados y listos para salir y paso lo que menos esperábamos en realidad, uno de mis primos se ocupó en otros asuntos sin notificarnos que no iba a asistir con nosotros a la playa, donde comenzamos a preocuparnos, ya que no contestaba su celular y no sabíamos nada de él desde el día anterior, localizamos a la policía , el problema se hizo más grande, alrededor de las 12pm apareció mi primo totalmente bien, ya era la segunda vez que pensábamos que no íbamos a ir.
Everything started really well, we were already organized and ready to go out and what we least expected actually happened, one of my cousins was busy with other matters without notifying us that he was not going to go with us to the beach, where we started to worry, since he did not answer his cell phone and we did not know anything about him since the day before, we located the police, the problem became bigger, around 12pm my cousin appeared totally fine, it was already the second time we thought we were not going to go.
Una de las cosas que más admiro de mi papá es que es una persona muy optimista y llena de energía, nos levantó el animo a todos en menos de 10 minutos con sus chistes y cuando menos lo pensábamos ya estamos a mita de camino a la playa. Durante el viaje todo estuvo tranquilo, no pude descansar porque mi hermanita no dejaba decir que, si ya llegábamos, cuanto faltaba y que estaba muy aburrida esto lo recalco mucho porque lo dijo tantas veces que es lo que mas recuerdo de ese viaje jaja, pero una gran parte de mi fue muy paciente con ella pues entendía su desesperación cuando uno es niño no hay algo mas emocionante que ir a la playa.
One of the things I admire most about my dad is that he is a very optimistic and energetic person, he lifted our spirits in less than 10 minutes with his jokes and when we least expected it we were half way to the beach. During the trip everything was quiet, I could not rest because my little sister would not stop saying that, if we were arriving, how much was missing and that she was very bored, I emphasize this a lot because she said it so many times that is what I remember most of that trip haha, but a big part of me was very patient with her because I understood her desperation when you are a child there is nothing more exciting than going to the beach.
Luego de dos horas aproximadamente en carretera al fin habíamos llegado a nuestro destino. Recuerdo a mi papá diciéndome que me calmara que ya todo el estrés lo dejamos atrás, vamos a concentramos en disfrutar lo que queda de día al máximo por algo hicimos muchos sacrificios en poder venir. Y honestamente él tenía mucha razón casi siempre suelo pensar que mi papá es una persona demasiado relajada porque yo soy todo lo contrario pero el asimilar el mínimo problema como algo super grande es una de las cosas más agotadoras, a veces hacer la vista gorda con respecto a las cosas es bueno porque realmente aprecias lo mínimo de cada situación y lo más importante disfrutas y te diviertes en el proceso.
After approximately two hours on the road we had finally arrived at our destination. I remember my dad telling me to calm down and tell me that all the stress was behind us, we were going to concentrate on enjoying what was left of the day to the fullest for something we made many sacrifices to be able to come. And honestly he was so right I almost always think that my dad is a very relaxed person because I am the opposite but assimilating the smallest problem as something super big is one of the most exhausting things, sometimes turning a blind eye to things is good because you really appreciate the smallest of each situation and most importantly you enjoy and have fun in the process.
Finalmente, todo fue perfecto, el transporte, la comida, el compartir con mi familia, tuve un día muy divertido y diferente que se que no voy a olvidar. A partir de ese día me propuse tomarme las cosas con más calma, por mi bienestar, pensar mucho y preocuparse más de lo debido es más peligroso de lo que realmente creemos. Es increíble como de un viaje bastante corriente aprendí que la mayoría de los problemas que se te presentan tiene solución y hay mejores formas de canalizarlos.
Finally, everything was perfect, the transportation, the food, the sharing with my family, I had a very fun and different day that I know I will not forget. From that day on I decided to take things more calmly, for my well being, thinking too much and worrying more than I should is more dangerous than we really believe. It's amazing how from a fairly ordinary trip I learned that most of the problems that come your way have a solution and there are better ways to channel them.
