Hello fellow travelers and nature lovers, I wish you are enjoying good health and have an excellent day, definitely nature knows how to surprise us and every adventure is a nice experience, several days ago I shared my visit to Caripe, specifically the Cueva el Guácharo, which is a beautiful park located between the states of Sucre and Monagas, it is also known as Alejandro de Humboldt park, which includes the cave, the museum and a long path that leads to a beautiful waterfall, this time I will show you some of the strange and curious shapes that are in the cave, as I mentioned before the use of luminous devices is restricted because in this cave inhabits the Guácharo bird Steatornis caripensis, after receiving instructions from the guides, the tour begins inside the cave, for this you must wear plastic boots, because in the cave circulate several rivers and even the groundwater can surprise you, the guides on the tour are explaining the different formations and for this they use flashlights, these should be placed in a position that does not affect the birds, to take pictures inside the cave, you must be very careful and take as a reference the direction in which the guide's flashlight is pointing, because it hits in a place and area that does not affect the birds, from that point you can take pictures, it is a little complicated to take pictures inside, due to the darkness of the cave and the care that must be taken not to disturb the birds, I took several pictures but only in some I managed to capture the curious shapes that are in the cave.
The entrance has a striking door formed by rocks with different shapes, then there are some rocks that look like benches where you can sit and take pictures, taking care as I said before not to disturb the birds, advancing in the tour we got a kind of protrusion in the rock, then several columns of rocks, in it you can see the reflection of the light of the flashlight that carries the guide, I imagine that as they have already done the tour several times, they know the areas where the birds can be and know the strategic points where to illuminate, then we observe other rock formations with small columns that emerge from the top like curtains, then a very curious one similar to a fungus or jellyfish.
Hola amigos viajeros y amantes de la naturaleza, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan un excelente día, definitivamente la naturaleza sí que sabe sorprendernos y cada aventura es una linda experiencia, hace varios días compartí mi visita a Caripe, específicamente la Cueva el Guácharo, que es un hermoso parque ubicado entre los estados Sucre y Monagas, también se conoce como parque Alejandro de Humboldt, que incluye la cueva, el museo y un largo sendero que conduce a una linda cascada, en esta ocasión les mostraré algunas de las extrañas y curiosas formas que hay en la cueva, como lo mencioné anteriormente el uso de dispositivos luminosos está restringido porque en esta cueva habita el ave Guácharo Steatornis caripensis, luego de recibir las instrucciones de los guías se inicia el recorrido por el interior la cueva, para ello se debe llevar bota plástica, ya que en la cueva circulan varios ríos e incluso el agua subterránea te puede sorprender, los guías en el recorrido van explicando las diferentes formaciones y para ello utilizan unas linternas, estas deben colocarse en una posición que no afecten a las aves, para tomar fotos en la parte interna, se debe ser muy cuidadoso y tomar como referencia la dirección hacia donde apunta la linterna que lleva el guía, pues esta incide en un lugar y área que no afecta a las aves, desde ese punto se pueden tomar fotos, es un poco complicado tomar las fotos en el interior, debido a la oscuridad de la cueva y al cuidado que se debe tener para no molestar a las aves, tomé varias fotos pero solo en algunas logré capturar las curiosas formas que hay en la cueva.
La entrada tiene una llamativa puerta formada por rocas con diversas formas, luego hay unas rocas que parecen bancos donde te puedes sentar y tomar fotos, cuidando como dije anteriormente no molestar a las aves, avanzando en el recorrido conseguimos una especie de protuberancia en la roca, luego varias columnas de rocas, en ella se puede observar el reflejo de la luz de la linterna que lleva el guía, imagino que como ya han hecho el recorrido varias veces, conocen las áreas donde pueden estar las aves y saben los puntos estratégicos donde iluminar, luego observamos otras formaciones rocosas con pequeñas columnas que emergen desde la parte superior como cortinas, seguidamente una muy curiosa parecida a un hongo o medusa.
On one of the rocks there is a writing of the famous Venezuelan baseball teams known as the eternal rivals; Leones de Caracas and Navegantes del Magallanes, I found it very funny to see the name of these teams written on the rock, maybe some fans decided to leave a memory of their visit and passion for baseball in the cave, then we observe several columns of rocks and one of them joins with another larger rock, in the next photo you can better appreciate the columns that are the product of the union of the stalactites and stalagmites, I like this photo very much because the color of the rock is more clearly seen, Due to the humidity in the cave it is common that during the tour it is common to feel drops falling on the skin, because these are detached from the ceiling and regularly with calcium carbonate are building the so-called stalactites (formed from the ceiling down) and stalagmites (from the floor up), the guide explains the process of formation of the rocks and making several figures with the shadows, one of them is a couple that seems to be dancing while turning the light of the flashlight.
En una de la rocas hay un escrito de los famosos equipos de béisbol Venezolano conocidos como los eternos rivales; Leones de Caracas y Navegantes del Magallanes, me pareció muy gracioso ver escrito el nombre de estos equipos en la roca, tal vez, algunos fanáticos decidieron dejar un recuerdo de su visita y pasión por el béisbol en la cueva, seguidamente observamos varias columnas de rocas y una de ellas se une con otra roca más grande, en la siguiente foto se aprecian mejor las columnas que son producto de la unión de las estalactitas y estalagmitas, esta foto me gusta mucho pues se aprecia más claro el color de la roca, la forma y el brillo, debido a la humedad que hay en la cueva es común que durante el recorrido sientas gotas caer en la piel, pues estas se desprenden del techo y regularmente con el carbonato de calcio van construyendo las llamadas estalactitas (se forman desde el techo hacia abajo) y estalagmitas (desde el suelo hacia arriba), el guía va explicando el proceso de formación de las rocas y haciendo varias figuras con las sombras, una de ellas es una pareja que parece estar bailando mientras se gira la luz de la linterna.

En las últimas fotos se aprecian diferentes formaciones y se ven algunas pequeñas rocas que emergen desde el techo, en la siguiente vemos una gran pared formada por muchas rocas y en la última foto se observan las estalagmitas y estalactitas, unas salen desde la parte superior y las otras desde la parte inferior de la cueva, al unirse forman las llamadas columnas, que dan variadas y curiosas formas al interior de la cueva, fue una experiencia muy agradable y divertida visitar nuevamente la cueva Guácharo, en esta ocasión no coincidimos con ninguna de las aves, regularmente durante el recorrido se pueden ver algunas aves y en visitas anteriores las he visto, son pequeños pájaros con plumas marrón y beige, en esta oportunidad, quizás estaban descansando en lugares muy ocultos, disfrutando su espacio oscuro, esta es mi entrada para el #wednesdaywalk, moderado por @tattoodjay
