The Dandelions Are Smiling
Finally, my yard looks cheerful and happy with yellow dandelions. Some bumblebees are hopping around the flowers. Before they bloomed, I had a dandelion leaf salad. It was a bit bitter, but very delicious.
My husband is looking for the right time to do the first mow of the grass this year. To be honest, I don’t want to cut it because it looks so fresh and green. However, we have to be careful about ticks. My dog has already started taking anti-tick pills for this year. Ticks are very aggressive. My husband had tick bites twice last year and needed antibiotics. Lyme disease is dangerous for both humans and animals, so we have to cut the grass soon. We'll wait until the bumblebees have had enough nectar before mowing.
Dandelions are both a healthy medicine and beautiful flowers. I love them very much. I don’t think I’ll make dandelion tea this spring, but I often do in other years.
They really look like they’re smiling in my yard. Both my previous and current dogs love dandelions, too. I truly believe dandelions have a special power that makes us feel happy.
The meanings of the dandelion flower are “Divination of love,” “Message from the gods,” “Misleading,” or “Flirtatious.”
Its energetic qualities include removing low or negative energy, teaching us how to process emotions, and helping wishes come true.
The yellow flowers can help heal emotions such as anger, resentment, suffering, and jealousy.
Yellow flowers are so pretty.
These yellow flowers are also beautiful. Forsythia makes me happy in spring. Its scent is so elegant. I sometimes make tea with the flowers as well. I trimmed the plant last year, and it's slowly recovering.
Rhubarb are also recovering after the heavy rains and storms.
I’ll enjoy rhubarb jam and umeboshi in June once they’ve grown more!

たんぽぽが笑っています
ついに、家の庭に明るい黄色いたんぽぽが咲いています。マルハナバチがたんぽぽをはしごして飛び回っています。花が咲く前のたんぽぽの葉っぱでサラダを作りました。少し苦味がありますが、おいしかったです。
主人は今年初の芝刈りのタイミングを待っています。本音を言うと、せっかくきれいに生えた緑の草を刈ってしまいたくはありません。しかし、マダニに気をつけなければなりません。私の犬は、すでに今年用のマダニ予防の薬を飲み始めました。マダニはとても攻撃性があります。去年、主人は２度かまれました。抗生物質を飲んで治療しなければなりませんでした。ライム病は怖いですから、人も動物も気をつけなければなりません。ですから、やはり草刈りは必須です。マルハナバチが十分に花の蜜を吸うのを確かめてから芝生刈りをする予定です。
たんぽぽは薬草でもあり美しい野花でもあります。とても好きな花です。今年の春は、ほぼ毎春作るたんぽぽ茶を作らない予定です。
たんぽぽが庭で微笑んでいるように見えます。前に飼っていた犬も、現在飼っている犬も、たんぽぽが大好きです。たんぽぽは本当にわたしたちを元気にしてくれる花だと思います。
たんぽぽの花言葉には「愛の神託」、「神のお告げ」、「思わせぶり」などがあります。たんぽぽは低いエネルギーを除去し、感情の処理の仕方を伝授してくれ、願いを叶えてくれる野花です。黄色い花は怒り、恨み、苦しみ、嫉妬などを癒してくれるそうです。
黄色い花は本当にかわいらしいですね。
こちらの黄色いレンギョウの花も美しいです。春に幸せな気持ちにしてくれる花です。とても高貴な香りがします。ときどき、花をお茶に入れて飲みます。去年剪定したので、少しずつ回復してきているようです。
ルバーブも大雨と嵐のダメージから回復しつつあります。
もう少し育ってから、6月くらいまではルバーブ梅干しやジャムを楽しめそうです。
