Today's collection of pictures for the LMAC Image Gallery, LIL, might be characterized as a tribute to suburban lawn ornaments. Most of the assorted statues and pedestals featured here were found on lawns in local communities. It's interesting that some communities seem to have an abundance of this statuary and some don't have any. The custom seems to be contagious, like a virus.

I noticed the same thing with pinwheels. One neighborhood had pinwheels on just about every other yard. Another neighborhood was devoid of the ornament. This is some kind of social commentary, but I don't know what that comment is, exactly.

A few of these pictures were taken at a local botanical garden. That's were the wooden roses came from. Also, the fish and turtles. I hope the fish pictures are clear enough. I had many but the water was pretty murky so it was hard to get a clear shot. Nice pictures, but maybe not for collages.
So, if you don't know by now, all of this picture taking is for the benefit of the Hive community. Specifically, I hope members of the LMAC community will find these useful in making collages, but anyone on Hive can use them for any reason. I personally have borrowed from the library when writing science blogs in the @stemsocial community.
We all owe thanks to @shaka for creating this resource and to @quantumg for working tirelessly at coding, to create a rather miraculous image lending and borrowing mechanism.
