Hello Hivians,
One day the scientists of the planet Straw-9 discovered a small blue dot with the telescope in the night sky. The spectral analysis showed that it is a planet on which there could be intelligent life. The computer calculated that the alien planet was fifty-one light years away from Straw-9.
Immediately was President Candy Sourberry informed about this spectacular discovery. He didn't think twice and then issued an executive order that a spaceship crew should be recruited as soon as possible.
Only Berry Sweet and Flan Creamy managed to meet the tough demands of the president.
After a short training session, the two set off with the spaceship on the long journey to the little blue dot in the night sky. After an endless five minutes of hyperspeed, they were finally in orbit of the planet. Because it appeared so blue, they just named it Blueberry-1.
Flan Creamy: "Let's land!".
Berry Sweet activated the landing procedure in the on-board computer, they buckled up and flew to the surface of Blueberry-1.
The on-board computer steered the spaceship to exactly where the sensors suspected intelligent life on the surface.
Once on the surface of the planet, they got off the spaceship and then saw something that seemed to be a berry settlement.
Berry Sweet immediately tried to contact the residents of the settlement. He tried several languages, but no one answered. He even nudged one of the residents carefully, but nothing happened, no reaction.
Berry Sweet: "I think they don't understand me."
Flan Creamy: "Forget it, they don't even move. There doesn't seem to be any intelligent life here. Let's fly home."
Very disappointed, the two astronauts started their way home.
The collage
LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage". Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.
This is my contribution to the LMAC Contest Round 65.
Tools I used
- Gimp 2.10.20 for all of the image manipulation works.
- MakeHumanCommunity for creating the body of the gnome.
- Blender 2.91 for all of the 3D modelling and posing works.
Materials
The collage contains parts of multiple images. I took a few of them from Pixabay. The images there are free to use.
The other images are made by-myself in Blender, a 3D modelling tool. And except the background image, which was a template photo provided by @shaka.
I painted all the snow by hand on various objects, as well as light and shadow.
