Hello LMACians, this is my 20th time entering contest, and this time with an analogue-like collage, it brings back the nostalgic.

Ride The World

Actually, I’ve been missing the feeling of making collages with scissors and glue. So this time, I made the time to create something with that exact vibe, and it instantly brought back a wave of nostalgia. In this template, the focus falls on one specific point: a truck carrying a pinecone. It felt just right for a simple, classic collage. Just like the ones I used to make as a kid, cutting and pasting onto the pages of a school notebook.
I chose a globe wrapped in chains, as if to say that the world isn’t really doing fine. Then, a toy truck carrying a pinecone sits right on top of it, as if it has traveled around the world and everything in it. You can clearly see a burst of flames, like a shot of NOS, symbolizing the burning spirit to keep going through life. Scattered letters, like torn paper scraps, spell out “Ride the World” a nod to the DIY spirit and the drive to keep moving forward.

Just like in my previous works, I used Affinity Photo for cutting and positioning the images and Paint.net to create some effects. I used 3 images from LIL and 1 from Unsplash.
Big thanks to all the contributors, because of you, I get to have fun with collage-making!
