Here’s a little use of the chemistry that is around us in normal life that I use to renovate roof windows
So I start from the beginning as it all started.
It’s a skylight that I installed and built on the roof of the apartment I live in, but when it rained, it dripped through the cladding
so I decided to remove the lining of course when it was raining and I had something to see in two places I leaked more than 2 dl of accumulated water in less than half an hour that it rains
I put a bucket under it to drip into it and let it dry for a couple of days while it was sunny, this blue rounded place is dripping good dripping water on the left and right side of the window
I asked some masters for advice, so they said I have to open half the roof and the tiles are concreted so the wind doesn’t lift them when they clog, there’s no way I’m going to take them off, such an endeavor I can forget about the roof
so I remembered a nice chemical compound for which I need 1 liter of gasoline
the amount of styrofoam dissolved in a waterproof felt-tip pen which, when passed over the styrofoam I used to insulate the house, dissolves ... approximately 1 meter x meter 10 centimeters thick
nylon bag for transporting fuel to the house,
good chocolate very tasty
bill to see how much it costs in kunas
Domestos serves me to thoroughly wash the floor
put milk in brewed coffee
so it looks like this coffee with milk makes macchiato
you need a plastic container wide and deep enough to mix the wood and one brush with a long handle called a radiator brush
citric acid in a bag serves to enhance the effect of dishwashing detergent with which I wash my hands and dishes
in a half-liter bottle I have a little detergent left in which I put about 10 grams of citric acid
then I added detergent
and poured water to the top
I really like this separation of detergent and water
he would like to play with it as it looks
but since the bubbles have started it means that the reaction has started inside but I really like the unknown how you but it is nice to watch
since I don’t have too much time to play I turned the bottle upside down to mix
so it looks like this very effective
I cut the styrofoam into pieces with a tool I made myself from a CPU power supply, one switch, a piece of kitchen hob, an old shining ELAN NA on which I placed a steel thin mercury piano wire and a piece of beam that holds it connected by cables and cuts actually melts
a bit but surely at least I don't crumble those crumbs that never pick up like this is wonderful to work with
while I was cutting melted styrofoam into small pieces, I ate chocolate that suited me very well
i have to hurry because it's time for the basket to fall in about 40 minutes
I filled a bucket full of styrofoam and poured all the gasoline over it just melted so fast that I didn't get to take a picture but I managed this
i made a thick mixture until it is saturated the styrofoam stops melting because there is no strength due to saturation
the mixture is ready , dense and compact
I went with that to the roof and started casting the crack
with Christ I anointed
while I was photographing it and looking at the screen which didn’t spill enough for me in one place he he heeee
nothing terrible
I put it all nicely for sludge to schedule as it is thickly sticky
so I filled those holes already when they were there to fill them around the tiles and windows as well
I forgot a bit more about the weather resistance of high temperatures and low winter UV resistance
after I finished everything to be somehow distributed to the space
I let it rest a bit and I drank some coffee and ate chocolates after washing my hands with that wonderfully wrinkled dishwashing mixture pratinskida all wow how effective.
And I tried how it squeezed
the crust is very hard and doesn't stick while it's still liquid underneath until the gasoline evaporates so I tried squeezing my thumb
so with the palm of your hand but nothing sticks well to the tiles and the window
this is how it looks like I can see the clouds from my window, they almost let the ravine open
and a little view of the Medulin church which is the only Church with 2 bell towers in Istria
I managed everything went as it should 15 minutes after this photo it started to fall a little so it got stronger for two days and it's nice and dry in my apartment jupyyyy I'm very happy
so I greet everyone on Hive with my little resourceful improvisation of repairing the roof window with tex and photos that are mine, that's it until the next innovations, let's be happy and creative and be stronger with you THE END
