I can imagine that a lot of billionaire entrepreneur, astronauts and scientist would have wished that we were able double planetary beings being able to live on two planets due to the pandemic and the lockdown (People would have still taken the virus there because people will be travelling between this planets). A lot of people would have thought of Mars as it looks like the biggest human interplanetary mission currently but it does not look like we are going to colonize Mars anytime soon but is it possible in 50 years?
Maybe we could launch to the red planet (Launching to the red planet just needs getting the timing right and getting the space ship in space and on its way to Mars, if it is so easy), but is the Red planet conducive for us, can we survive there? Have we checked the gravity, time, micro gravity and many more? For instance, when travelling to space, microgravity is one of the major factors when looking at the safety of astronauts as it can cause tears of muscles and bone weakening. This is not all as Mars looks harmful to species currently from its, dust, air, and many more things. Also, this trip will be taking a lot of resources, energy and proper planning (People do not really feel eager to colonize the moon, maybe because it is our satellite or because it we visited there once). When it comes to going to Mars, NASA and SpaceX have been doing a lot of preparation, practice, and funding to make sure it all goes fine.
How to Get to Mars
Since 2012, Elon Musk and NASA have been working on getting humans to Mars and colonizing the Red planet. SpaceX reusable space craft I what SpaceX have been improving on so as to get people from earth to space and Mars at a cheaper rate.
In the next orbital synchronization which will take place in July of 2020 will be used to send a few tools like drilling machine, Mars Rover, Mars satellite machine which will be used to mine resources and get fuel and in 2022, SpaceX will be sending another unmanned ship to Mars to provide astronauts going with necessities like Life support system, food supplies, and many more things which will enabled the astronaut to survive the nine months in Mars. It is scheduled to take people to Mars before 2030 and if all works out well, we could colonize Mars by 2050.
Conclusion
Humans are trying to live on Mars, scientist were able to grow microorganism in an artificial Mars like environment which will be used on Mars to grow food and start to grow microorganism creating new life on the planet. AI Space factory home known as Marsha is what astronauts will be using for shelter when they get to Mars. It looks like we are ready to start exploring and Launching to Mars but we will be waiting until the first launch, then we can say for sure that we will colonize Mars.
