The world have classified humans based on their financial capabilities, you are either rich or poor the position of an average person has been eliminated for some time now. The rich people seem to enjoy certain benefits unlike the poor who may never experience such a luxurious lifestyle but would you believe me if I told you that that a poor person is usually overcharged for things unlike the rich?
Food Items.
The rich purchase their food items in bulk while the poor prefer to buy gradually in little quantities. The method of buying in little quantities eventually make us pay more than the usual amount we should pay at the end of the day. For example, a bag of rice of 20kg may cost $23 while buying 1kg may cost $1.5. Most poor people will usually not be able to buy the rice of 20kg at once and they will prefer to buy it gradually but at the end of the day they have spent $30 unlike the rich person who has saved $7 through the process of buying in bulk.
Bank Charges.
I was surprised to find out that people with low funds in their bank accounts are usually charged the more, these people are not considered basic clients in banks and most times they have to pay extra charges unlike the rich who are treated with respect.
When using an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), frequent little withdrawals one by the poor usually result in more charge rates from the bank, unlike the rich who usually get a one-time fee withdrawal for the withdrawals they make that is not always a consistent one.
Bank Loans.
When it has to do with taking bank loans, the rich usually have several banks offering those loans and those banks usually try to reduce their interest rate for the rich in order to gain their attention and do business with them. The profit rate for the rich to get loans is usually cheaper than it is for the poor to get bank loans, this means that a rich person may be charged the profit rate of 1% for loan and a poor person may be asked to pay 10% as profit.
Rents.
Rent is another way poor people spend most of their money, the rich understand the trick to owning apartments and even offering it as rents to the poor while they make more money for themselves. The rich keep accumulating more strategies to get extra money while the poor keeps spending the one he has.
