We love to talk so much about the good times we are having or the good things we intend to do, and on several occasions, whenever we discuss our plans and intentions with other people it does not end up as planned which gave me the conclusion that our life goals and aspirations are better left as a secret that we personally want to grow instead of making those goals a matter of public concern.
I remember when my uncle was trying to tell me about keeping my goals to myself and he told me a story about a research that was conducted between some students in a little room, the students in the room were divided into two sections and one of the group was told to discuss their personal goals with others while the other category were asked to keep their goals a secret until the goals becomes accomplished.
After few minutes, the research showed that the people who have kept their goals a secret were able to accomplish the goals faster and better, unlike the people who have shared their goals with other people. When goals are shared, it comes with distractions and limitations on most occasions.
One reason why it becomes difficult to achieve a goal after the idea has been shared, is because once the goal is shared, it comes with a feeling of undeserved achievement, it looks as if there is already progress been made in the direction of the accomplishment and in the real sense, and nothing has been done at all.
In the aspect of goal achievement, people are categorized differently.
Some people talk so much about their goals to everyone who cares to listen and even others who are not concerned about listening, but after talking about this goals they fail to take any undeserving action to accomplish the goals.
Another category of people are those who remain quiet about the goals but still do not get the goals accomplished. They do not tell anyone about their plans and intentions yet they do not take any step to get the goal accomplished.
The third category of people are the people who get the goals accomplished but make so much noise about it, they are just full of themselves and extremely proud of everything they do.
Then we have the fourth category of people who get every of their goal accomplished but tell no one about it, they make sure that the results of their effort makes all the necessary noise and these people are the best category of people to work with, they are super smart, intelligent and they do not brag about the things they have accomplished in the past or the things they want to accomplish.
