Cold rewards are the interests for holding a minimum of 25K DVT in a single UTXO transaction for 1 month in the DeVault blockchain. It is important to note that this kind of "holding/staking" is NOT what we know in Hive as Hivepower, where our tokens are frozen. In the case of the DeVault blockchain, the holding of the coins refers to not moving the coins for 30 days, however, we can have them available at any time if needed.

So, how can we earn cold rewards for investing in the DeVault blockchain? As I mentioned at the beginning, by storing a minimum of 25K DVT in a single transaction. Now you're wondering what I mean by storing the coins in one transaction. For example, imagine you bought 20,000 DVTs and the DeVault community gave you another 5,000 DVTs. In total, the sum of the coins would be 25,000 DVTs. Would you receive cold rewards for holding these DeVaults? The answer is NO, as it is necessary to combine the coins, i.e., to group the coins in the same transaction.
Next, I show you a GIF tutorial on how to consolidate DeVault coins. In this case, I will combine 32,648 DVTs in a single transaction, which are the coins that are not eligible for receiving cold rewards at this moment.
The DeVault blockchain scans all transactions, and after 1 month (21,915 blocks), the transactions over 25K DVTs that have not been modified are eligible for cold rewards.
For example, I deposited 122,918 DVTs and kept them for 30 days in my wallet. I automatically received 1,536 DVTs as cold rewards this month, which is 1.25%. The interesting thing is that every year the earnings from holding are reduced. By distributing fewer coins, the pressure to sell the coins in the markets will be diminished, which benefits the price of the currency.
The first year, investors received 15% annually (1.25% monthly)as cold rewards, the second year they will be receiving 12% (1% monthly), the third year will be 9% (0.75% monthly), for the 4th year (7%), for the 5th year will be only 5%, and those rewards will be reduced each year.

What is the benefit for the blockchain that you hold your coins for a long time?
By investing in the long term, the blockchain rewards you for not causing pressure to sell the currency. At the end of the day, as an investor, you want the cryptocurrencies' price to increase. We have already mentioned that DeVault can be mined like bitcoin, so sometimes miners generate a lot of selling pressure. The good news is that it will become increasingly difficult to mine the DVT currency.
In which cases you will NOT receive the cold rewards?
Case 1: If you have less than 25,000 DVTs in the same transaction/movement, it is necessary to consolidate the coins.
Case 2: If you have more than 25,000 DVTs but have those coins in the exchanges such as Southxchange or Graviex. The DVTs have to be stored in your DeVault wallet.
Case 3: If you modify the transaction before you receive the cold rewards. If you want to send coins to other users, it is recommended that you use the coin control functionality. This way, you only select transactions with less than 25K DVT, which are not eligible for rewards. If you accidentally modify a transaction, even if you take out 1 DVT from the transaction, the eligibility time will be reset.
A few days ago, Spock[8], one of the developers in the DeVault blockchain, mentioned that "85% of coins are eligible for Cold Rewards at the moment", which means that the DeVault community holds a large percentage of the coins to support the project.

Las recompensas frías son las recompensas (intereses) por almacenar un mínimo de 25K DVT en una única transacción UTXO durante 1 mes en la blockchain de DeVault. Es importante señalar que esta forma de “almacenar/guardar monedas” NO es lo similar lo que conocemos en Hive como Hivepower, en donde nuestros tokens quedan congelados. En el caso de la blockchain de DeVault el almacenar las monedas se refiere a simplemente no mover las monedas durante 30 días, sin embargo podemos disponer de ellas en cualquier momento en caso de ser necesario.

Entonces, ¿cómo podemos ganar recompensas frías por invertir en la blockchain de DeVault? Como lo mencioné al principio, almacenando un mínimo de 25K DVT en una sola transacción. Ahora te estarás preguntando a que me refiero con almacenar las monedas en una sola transacción. Por ejemplo, supongamos que compraste 20,000 DVT y en la comunidad de DeVault te regalaron otros 5,000 DVT. En total, la suma de las monedas sería de 25,000 DVT. ¿Recibirás recompensas frías por almacenar estos DeVaults? La respuesta es NO, ya que es necesario consolidar las monedas, es decir, agrupar las monedas en la misma transacción.
A continuación, les muestro un GIF sobre como consolidar las criptomonedas de DeVault. En este caso, consolidaré 32,648 DVT en una sola transacción, las cuales son las monedas que no elegibles para recibir recompensas frías.
La blockchain escanea todas las transacciones y después de 1 mes (21,915 bloques), todas aquellas transacciones mayores a 25K DVT que no hayan sido modificadas son elegibles para recibir recompensas frías.

Al distribuir un menor número de monedas se reducirá la presión de venta de la moneda en los mercados, lo cual beneficia al precio de la misma.
El primer año los inversionistas recibimos el 15% anual (1.25% mensual), el segundo año se estará recibiendo el 12% (1% mensual), el tercer año se ganará 9% (0.75% mensual), para el 4to año (7%), para el 5to año solamente será el 5% y se irá reduciendo cada año.

¿Cuál es el beneficio para la blockchain que almacenes tus monedas por largo tiempo?
Al invertir a largo plazo, la blockchain te recompensa por no generar una presión de venta de la moneda. Al final de cuentas como inversionista quieres que el precio de las criptomonedas del proyecto incremente para negociarlas a un precio más alto. Ya hemos mencionado anteriormente que el DeVault se puede minar como el bitcoin, por lo que a veces los mineros ejercen mucha presión de venta. La buena noticia es que cada vez es más complicado minar la moneda DVT.
¿En que casos NO se recibirán las recompensas frías?
Caso 1: Si tienes menos de 25,000 DVT en la misma transacción/movimiento, es necesario consolidar las monedas para que sean elegibles.
Caso 2: Si cuentas con más de 25,000 DVTs pero tienes esas monedas en las casas de cambio como Southxchange o Graviex. Los DVTs tienen que estar almacenados en tu monedero de DeVault.
Caso 3: Si modificas la transacción antes de recibir las recompensa. Si quieres enviar monedas a otros usuarios se recomienda que uses la funcionalidad de control de monedas. De esta forma seleccionas únicamente las transacciones donde tienes menos de 25K DVT, las cuales no son elegibles para recibir recompensas. Si por error modificas una transacción, así sea que saques 1 DVT de la transacción se reiniciará el tiempo para ser elegible.
Hace unos días, Spock[8] uno de los desarrolladores de la Blockchain de DeVault, mencionó que "85% de las monedas son elegibles para las recompensas frías en este momento", lo que significa que la comunidad de DeVault tiene un gran porcentaje de las monedas almacenadas para apoyar el proyecto.
