Well I decided to do a little stream of consciousness post this evening as I get myself back into the HIVE (ex-STEEM) ecosystem.
I had been relatively active on STEEM back in 2018. The crypto crash back then scared me off as I thought I was wasting time while I had a million other things on my plate. 🍽️
Recently I reconnected with an old online friend (@Amphlux). He is a force int eh Crypto community and made me aware that because I had a STEEM account I also had a HIVE account that should have some credit in it. I dove in and he was CORRECT! There was plenty of HIVE power to get rolling again on the blockchain. So here we are. 😀
Let me fill you in on some of my backstory.
- Born and raised in NYC. Often taking for granted the amazing things I had access to.
- Went to one year at St Johns University before leaving to join the workforce
- Became a registered stock broker (Series 7 license) at age 19. Did pretty well over the next 7 years moving up to the NASDAQ trading desk and making a good living.
- After the attacks on my hometown on 9/11/2001 I decided to join the US Army. Spent 3 years with the 82nd Airborne Division in North Carolina as a Paratrooper and Parachute Rigger.
- Upon coming home to NYC I joined the FDNY as a firefighter. (still working 👩🚒🔥)
- As a side passion I have been running IndieBandGuru.com for the past 13 years. Started as a music review blog. Now offers a suite of services to help independent artists grow their music career. (leading them to NFTs and the blockchain now!)
Now that you are all caught up let me share some of my interest now. (In addition to all the past experiences that I am still very interested in)
MUSIC - still the leading passion of my life. Although I can barely play a guitar 🎸, the music business draws me in greatly. There is no greater joy for me than helping a band develop a plan to reach their goals and watching them do it. Music and Art NFTs are very interesting to me as I am trying to learn more.

FAMILY - Married with 2 daughters that I would do anything for. They keep me busy as I try to guide and support all their interests. The 12 year old is a talented singer 🎤 and writer with a very creative mind. My 8 year old is the active one who has already earned her Black Belt 🥋 in Taekwondo.
MONEY - No I am not a money hungry scumbag. But I do work hard to achieve financial freedom for myself and my friends. That means I like to diversify and find ways to earn passive income. Both in FIAT 💴 and CRYPTO.
HIVE - This amazing platform and the possibilities seem endless. I hope to be a growing part of it and be a force along the way.
I do play Splinterlands. Although I am pretty new I truly enjoy my first dive into the P2E online card game.
