Description from Strava:
It is over a week since I injured my back. It has happened before, but this time all I did was to bend over in the shower to wash my legs. I had been running earlier and was fine then. Anyone who has hurt their back will know how painful it can be, but I am fortunate not to have this all the time. At first it was hard even to move around the house and it makes for bad nights as you wake up whenever you move and aggravate it. It is improving though.
In the last few days I have been getting out for some walks. I feel the need to get moving again, but running is not an option. Even walking is painful on my lower back and hips, but it is bearable and I think it does me some good. The weather has not been too bad and it is quite pretty as the leaves change. I have been taking various routes around the village, but am not going too far. About half an hour is enough for now. Today I went to the shop at the top of the village for the Sunday paper and then took the long way home. I went through the churchyard. I assume there were people in church as there were cars parked there, but I did not hear any singing. I suspect it is a small congregation.
The timing of this injury is not great when we have the Movember challenge at work. If I was running and logging my walks I would clock up a lot of distance, but I shall add a little to my team total anyway. I would expect it could be a couple of weeks before my back is near normal again, so I shall take it steadily.
Last night I watched Tenet. That is a real brain f*ck of a movie with some of the action happening in reverse. Director Christopher Nolan has some history of this as he made Memento and Interstellar that mess with time too.
I hope everyone else is doing fine and staying well.
