I just finished a 23.814km running that lasted about 2hh:14mm:12ss !

I am managing to stick with my run of monthly half Marathons that started in May. Today was time for the November one. It was a slightly misty morning, but not too cold. I opted to run the Letchworth Greenway anti-clockwise. A full lap is just about the right distance, but I have to go a few kilometres to get onto it, so I cut some corners so the run would not be much longer.
I was not going all out for a fast time, but I like to keep it under two hours for the half. That means a pace of about 5:40/km, so I was keeping an eye on my Garmin watch. At times I was easily under that, but I had some slower stretches too. I even had a short walk when I was really feeling it. In the end it was my second best time, but I beat some other personal records according to Strava and got some best segment times.
The Greenway was pretty busy with runners, cyclists and walkers. We have another lockdown here, but you are allowed out for exercise and people are making the most of that. I was not racing anyone and there was nobody to try and catch up with anyway. I do wonder what time I could get in a competitive situation, but my legs were really feeling it today. By the time I got back to Arlesey I had had enough and walked for a bit. I had managed to run up all the hills along the way.
I started using Strava at the start of this year, and previously used Endomondo for a few years. I see it is being shut down by the owners. I will see if I can get my data and do something with it. I had hundreds of runs logged there.
Run free and stay well.
