Hello Everyone. Welcome to my Blog. I am so excited to participate again in this week's contest. And this week's prompt is quite fascinating and Interesting. And I will be writing about My Hidden Talent and how I discovered it.
Talent is that hidden activity you enjoy and finds pleasure in doing them.This makes people unique in their own way. It distinguishes one among his peers and contemporaries, It brings about value and distinction in the society. Most times people fail to discover theirs early enough while some people get to know theirs at a very tender age.
However, I strongly believe every being is embedded with talent. But it is so sad that many people live and die with great talent without using them. This would have added value to himself,and the society at large.I wish and desire that many people would discover their talent and use them for the betterment of their self and the society.
What's your hidden Talent and how did you discover it?
Without argument I know I have this gift of teaching, and it has been one activity I find myself doing at ease especially when dealing with kids.To some it seems to be a difficult task but for me I find happiness and feel fulfilled when I engage myself in this.
I discovered this when I was a little child. I can remember vividly those days when I would gather my peers and I would always want to be the one teaching.This kept occurring on many occasions, during special social gathering and religious activities I discovered I would always play this role perfectly well. And kudos to my role model and first teacher,my mother. Watching her teach me was also another additional motivation that guided me in developing this talent in me .
Teaching has really helped me in life now as a person and has become my source of income. It has not just been a talent, but has turned out to become what my society has gained and benefited from me. I see myself handling kids who have been written off, with an extra assistance from the supernatural, to discover that even my learners turn out to enjoy my lessons.
Teaching has helped me socially, on a daily basis I get to meet different sets of human beings and this has helped me learn how to manage my emotions. Believe me this is one simple but difficult task that's why I classify it as a talent. It has also helped academically because in the course of rendering these services I have to read, learn and search for backups before passing this knowledge.
Yes, even spiritually, we are in a society where different religions are practiced and believed. And is it so disappointing that this belief at times brings about conflict among diverse people.
With my understanding of these books I get to teach myself and as such pass the right message to the younger generation.
My hidden gift was in a good way because I know the value and added advantage this talent has brought to me.
I draw my curtain here with these few words. Discover your talent, it's never too late, serve the nation with those hidden talents. It may seem discouraging initially but believe me it pays, use it wisely and affect your society.
